9 forwards/5d/team goalies

Marner, Tavares, Matthews, Rielly, Kadri, Nylander, Muzzin and Leaf goalies

Hopefully we go deep this year.

Oh ffs, you won the game, be happy and don't whine about the refs for once?
- Scabeh

Really?

The same thing happened last year.

*somehow* the teams' penalty history gets reversed in the playoffs. Besides coming out down in penalties, yet again, there was glaring poop let go all night. Chara alone could have had 5 penalties easily.

There is no explanation at all for this. It is easy to get sick of seeing your team end up on the short end of the stick, again.

Not going to call much standing in front of the net, plus he barely leans on a guy and it's almost murder for some of those little guys. At least they called the one where he held Nylander up.

Reffing in the NHL has always been sketchy imo. It goes from bad to worse in the playoffs.

There were missed calls on both sides yesterday if you ask me.

For me, chara was the only blatant call that was missed.
Other than that it was pretty evenly called.

Great road win for the Leafs. They played well and deserved it. On a side note I got the feeling that the crew of TSN and Sportsnet had wet their pants because they were so happy.
- sabreadvocate1

Wow, for the first time any of us can remember, Hughson and Simpson weren't poopting all over the Leafs and this is the impression?

They, absolutely correctly, pointed out the bad non-calls by the refs.

I was thinking the same thing last night, except I usually don't mind Simpson. Tells it like it is for the most.

(frank) me, they were not happy calling that. They tried all they could to let it go. It felt like a Leafs goal being brought back for offside

Except at the end when tavares scored the empty netter and Hughson said

"and that's it!....... or is it?" with the Leafs having a 3 goal lead and a minute and 20 seconds to play
