Jake looked a little rusty, still nice having some experience on the 3rd pair.
- Garnie

under 17mins was perfect for him.
Outside of the one pizza is tossed up in our own end, I thought he played ok.

yes it was, just like the hit on Nylander while he was returning to the bench by Debrusk just a shift before....

so either the Leafs got the correct benefit of the doubt for once... or the usual Boston bias hasn't kicked in yet.

as a Habs fan... I'm surprised that you aren't up in arms about anything to do with the Bruins getting an advantage....

I mean, I can't think of a single instance where officiating has EVER helped the Habs

I'm glad we agree.

If not for his penalty, Andersen could have had a shutout.
- PatC80

I hadn't seen Cherry in a long time, since I usually stream the games. I'm guessing he's been anti-Nylander most of the year?

Have Bruin fans done a suicide check on Jack Edwards? I heard he was inconsolable after the game.

His tears sustains me.

- LeafMan

I want to watch a replay of the NESN broadcast of the the penalty call against Chara and when Kadri hit Debrusk...

that should be bathed in golden tears

that PP goal was because of Nylander and retaliation ....by hitting him in the face with his stick....thats what I heard from on my TV

he did it on purpose..and when you intentionally hit someone in the head with your stick thats fine that you get 2 mins

- senstroll

Actually he was trying to lift his stick and caught him, I don't think there was any intent there.

He made one play where he shoveled it up the boards to the bruins while having 3 leafs 100% open in pass support, but other than that he looked really good.
- TheMussel

haha, I member that...I was like "wtf dude", you passed it right to the bruin guy.

Zaitsev was really.....good? Wow, he really was.
- PatC80

note to everyone - Zaitsev did not have to play with Gardiner.

From what I saw, the Bruins turned the puck over way more then we did.. That's all that matters.. I thought our defense was good. Our forwards helped out in our zone and gave our defense easier options to clear the zone.

If I had to find a fault in our game last night, it was the play of Gauthier, because he was credited with 0 hits..

He's been anti Nylander since they drafted him, he wanted the Leafs to draft Nick Ritchie. As much of an institution Cherry is, seems like it's time for him to retire, he's barely coherent on Coach's Corner. Not his fault, he's just aging, happens to everyone.

Zaitsev and Muzzin have been good when paired together..

I do like the Gardiner/Dermott pairing, however, only for o-zone starts..

For those of you who love ripping in Melander (and let's be honest, we all hate his selfish ass), they absolutely tore him a new one last night on Bob McCown's show last night:

Jump to the 1:30:16 mark with Gord Stellick - they start by ripping Babcock a little, a bit of wandering jibber-jabber, and then it's all Melander-hate, all the time (starting at 1:40:00).

That show rips the Leafs horribly all the time. John Shannon called Rielly a #3 D on a good team around Christmas. LOL

somebody should tell Nylander that the playoffs have started.
don't understand all the 'he had a great game' comments.
Marner/Matthews played way better against much better competition.
Still floating.
I really hope he will be traded this off-season.

I was going to say...was he playing on the fourth line? Only guys I saw out there were Moore and Brown.

Not sure how you have a CF% of 30 when you don't play 1 second vs the Bergeron line

But I like that Gardiner is out there with Dermott.
