I like his upside still . We"ll see what Bowman has in mind. Just hope McD lets his hockey people make those decisions regarding Free Agency instead of him staring at all of those unsold #72 jerseys still in the UC basement.

He doeen't even weigh 160 pds and is easily pushed off puck. We had difficulty incorporating TT and Schmaltz into top six because they shy away or just plainly try often to avoid physical play.

That said, there is room for extremely talented players. You named some of them. And i noticed when Schmaltz garnered some points in Arizona and TT has picked up his scoring. Nonetheless Schmaltz withers in a physical playoffs and TT actually has figured how and when he is to be tougher.

I am just saying that some other players appear much better choices than what a Hughes would provide. If Hughes averages close to a point per game rookie season then perhaps i was at least a bit tough grading on his success
