This series is far from being over. Remember when everyone counted the Hawks out in the past only to win the series in 6 or 7 games. It's all about momentum and it changes on a dime. - BGKarras
Bolts haven't played a pressure game since last year. The BJ's have been playiing pressure games for a month.
I do expect Tampa to wake up, but they now need to win 4 of 5. Tall order. |

No doubt. The guy who always impresses me from the Jackets is Savard. Every time I watch him, he stands out. Nothing fancy in his game. Just always seems to be in the right spot. Plays physical without running around.
He is the type of guy who would end up being one of my favs if he was a Hawks. - Elbows15

Getting EK and Pavelski back from injury has done them wonders. They look pretty damn good. |

I wonder what you could get if you offered Seabs and next years first round pick? Top 4 defender with a lower cap hit? Top 6 forward? 3C?
Same question if the deal was AA and next years 1st round pick? Top 4 defender? Top 6 forward? 3C?
Depending on the trading partner and their cap space situation and their need for a forward or defender it might be interesting to explore.
Remember that you not only get the player acquired in the trade you could get cap a little space this year or in future years. - -Doh-
-Doh- I think you are on the right track here, that is the 2019 #2 and the 2020 #1 are on the table more so due to getting the #3 right now. Not sure you can move an expensive contract if you want to get a lot back,
Maybe the picks can go for a top 4 dman for 2-3 years until prospects are ready? |

He's a hockey player so of course he returned to the game. Maybe with a double cup?
How are the friendly skies? Hope all is well with you. |

Congrats on the #3 pick. Talk about potentially life injecting to a franchise.
Marner won't happen under any circumstance. The love is appreciated but the Kid from Toronto is becoming King of Toronto. They'd trade Shanahan before Marner. |

The NHL always surprises me. What were the odds of the Blue Jackets winning the series. Only half way there but did the come from behind win get into the heads of the Bolts. It's like watching the Cubs pre 2016. |

Needless to say wish the Hawks were In the playoffs but to can't beat the NHL playoffs.
Think San Jose got ripped off on that goalie interference call. |

Gotta think the TDL adds Columbus made are starting to gel.
Full disclosure: I did pick the Blue Jackets in this series. |

Jackets won the first two games on the road last year, too. Lost the series to the eventual Cup winners. |

Some think the old school "dinosaur" coaches are passe and need to stand aside to allow the new breed of coaches in. Well in the Tampa Columbus series we're seeing new breed against old school, one emphasizing offense the other defense. So far old school and defense has the upper hand. Let's see if the new style of coaching can figure a way out of this dilemma. |

True but the Caps had the better goalie on the bench. They blow a 3-0 lead, might of given all the confidence the Blue Jackets needed. BTW the BJ have much more talent on the roster this year as opposed to last, but that's why they play the games |

Two different teams.
Watching last night, a good example was Hedman talking smack at the end of the game (think about that for a second), telling Reilly Nash,
Hedman - "remember last year, you were up 2-0 how'd that work out?".
Nash - "I was in Boston"
Point is Duchene, Dzingel, Nash, etc. weren't on last years team. Guys like Jenner, Werenski are more experienced and better than they were last year.
Washington out physical'd them. Not sure TB is going to be able to out physical them.
Lastly, they have Bobrovsky. I wouldn't want to have to beat him 4 out of 5. He can get in a zone. |

Not saying the Hawks necessary will, but what are you going to do with the rest of the team when someone signs him to a 12+ million offer sheet.
You can resign him, but you're going to learn what "up against the cap" is in a hurry, and have to dump a lot of contributors.
Oh and you'll have to do it without already winning multiple cups. |

Jets lose in 7, Maurice will be gone.
Should be a lesson to all, Winnipeg was the next great team like the Hawks.
3 years later, no SCF, no cups, on the ropes, bloated cap situation and lots of tough decisions based on salary.
Again, without any cups. |

Over half of the bracket challenge have the Bolts winning it all. Another good chunk has the B's...

Tampa doesn't want a game where they have to block shots, worry about defensive coverage, concern themselves with anything but playing a fast moving game and Columbus is doing what all good playoff teams do, they've racheted up the defense, Tampa has no room and no time do do anything. Tampa still has the more talented team if they're willing to work as hard or harder than Columbus. If they aren't interested in working hard and playing defense, blocking shots etc. then I guess they have the president's trophy and Tanner says that is the true indication of a winner.

Thanks, i have to admit your team looks great. If Matthews signed for over $10 mil i believe Marner is looking for a similar contract. Something has to give players will need to be traded. When Kane and Toews signed their $6; million dollar contracts it affected the Blackhawks, when they signed their $10 million dollar deals it again affected the Blackhawks.
Good luck especially after the post season things will get extremely tight |
