Hedman out tonight with injury...anyone know who is in for him?
- glennjpawlak22

Coburn and Callahan in for Hedman and Kucherov.

and he always had displayed a nice shot too.

Believe me, not looking to wholesale the cache of youth here, just find a shirt term solution at LD.

Something must interest the #1 or #2 team with those choices. You have to ask yourself? Is not only the russian but also Hughes worth taking with a top two pick? Because if the way the game is played now IF you can get size plus speed and skill, you could swap a #1 or #2 for the #3 overall. Or just go ahead and do not draft the russian or Hughesr with first or second.

All that to segway into this: does Mark Kelly and Bowman worry incessantly about whom they are left to pick at #3 and therefore trade a prospect just to ensure they will be able to move up even one slot? It could mean we are assured to choose either Cozens or Kakko.

Nope, and they're down 3-1 in the 2nd tonight against Milwaukee.

You can stick a fork in the TB Lightning

Game over

Series over

Time to fire the coach and retool the roster.

Gotta be one of the biggest choke jobs in NHL history given the regular season they had. How pathetic.

I’m still going with Boston from the East and the Blues out west.

Not really. Turcotte has also been compared to Toews because of his 2-way play and his work below the dots. Kid only plays one way. Full bore.

Either one would be a nice addition.

- Elbows15

I've been going back and forth with Turcotte and Cozens. I'm leaning more and more with taking Turcotte. I think his play would be ideal for the Hawks style of play.

Not sure about that but I definitely under estimated them!

Disclaimer: I'm not very good at judging the "fairness" of trades to both sides.

I wonder if a trade using the #3 pick and possibly other assets, if needed, would land the Hawks Hampus Lindholm from Anaheim or Matias Ekholm from Nashville. Thoughts?

- EbonyRaptor

I don't think Nashville would be open to trading with the Hawks especially since we are divisional rivals

yepyep. But to be fair, CBJ are playing on a different level. This series reminds me of the hawks v preds series a few years back. Hawks played with no energy and couldn't get anything going. CBJ seems to have everything going for them.

Defense limiting chances.
Bob not choking.
Offense is consistently generating chances.

He has the size to be one, and if he’s gonna have a long profitable career he should embrace the role.

Except Kruger is more physical. If the dolt would just keep his feet moving he would be a 20/20 guy easily. His gliding all over the ice most nights makes me yell at my TV.

It should be either the underlying penalty or embellishment - shouldn’t be both.

Read an interesting tidbit that said they thought Forsberg may have played his last game for the organization. Hogs are playing Lankinen at goal tonight with Tomkins as back up.

My true point was not to start dismissing each and every young defender and forward, only that you might just find A TEAM, that is willing to hand over a young veteran left handed defender for ONE of our defenseman who there will be no room for along with a forward who might entice the deal, because the new drafted #3 pick is gonna be filling one, and there is a need to get a nice sized young vet backliner.
- wiz1901

I got your point. Finding that team isn't going to be easy in a cap league. Teams always need guys who play above their contract. But sure. Sign me up if a deal like that can be made that doesn't involve Boqvist and maybe Mitchell.

I am a huge Turcotte mark but the more I read about Cozens it gets me tingling.
I have only seen Cozens once and it was in the prospect game. That really isn't a game to make any kind of an assessment on a player.

I can’t believe how invisible Stamkos has been.

Such an important game, season likely on the line, no Kucherov, you figure he’d step his game up...

As good as he’s been in the regular seasons, he’s never really had any huge post seasons, has he?

Bows I keep going back and forth with those two. Phuck really a coin flip. Today it's Turcotte... Tomorrow it's Cozens.. And the beat goes on. Hope you are doing well my man!
