It'd be best to get rid of all of them, but its probably not going to happen. - tbreinold

No need. He's tradable; return would not be great and Rangers should eat some of the salary if they get anything significant in return. that way, you only have to pay part of his salary for the remaining two years; rather than four if you buy him out. |

Ehhh, idk if he is. He's got the NMC and the partial NTC. Plus he's been so bad. |

So i get busy at work for an hour and we are trading Buch and buying out Shatty?
Please no buy outs. In 2 years we are golden. We might have to shelter Shatty on the third pair, but I think he has some pp value left. |

I don't know man, he's not exactly Phil Jackson level, but he is basically stealing money from MSG at this point |

I think he has a dead cat bounce year. If we get everyone over here we want, our pp2 will be pretty good. He will have good weapons and won't have other teams top unit to play against. If he does just decent enough in that role, there are still plenty of stupid teams out there that would take him for half price. |

It makes me never want to sign a big name FA defensemen ever again...they never work out for us |

I know. Remember though, he signed here for less to WIN. Since it's not happening, he may welcome a move to a preferred team. I say do it, eat 2M each year for the remaining two and this other team gets Shatty for 4.5M for two years. Does that sound like such a bad deal for either team? You buy him out, you are paying more than that for twice as long. |

Rozsival was pretty solid for us. Though I just looked back at his stats, he didn't do quite as well for us as I thought I remembered. Though I guess he doesn't count as a huge name either. |

look Buchnevich has waaaaay more trade value than adding him with the 22nd pick to move up to 8th
they put way too much into this guy to give him away when he's finally turned the corner and more skilled young guys to play with coming our way - jimbro83
I get your argument, I just think if we sign Panarin it’s him or Kreider.
Another problem we have is Andersson. Putting him on the 4th line does nothing for his development but I don’t see a spot for him in the top 9. The other problem is he has very little trade value relative to where we drafted him. |

Andersson's a problem
now I know he's Elias Pettersson's best friend, maybe the 'Nucks could be talked into the 10th overall pick for him |

If they sign EK, his foot will fall off the moment he hits the ice on opening night. |

Why does it have to be either? Is having too many players that can score really a problem we don't want to have? Weren't the Rangers near last in the league in goals...again? |

It's really not. Buch is a RW. Kreider and Panarin are LW. |

He became more noticeable the more NHL games he played. There is upside to his game; just not on the score sheet. I see him as a gritty Mike Eastwood 2.0...for those that recall this guy in the late 90's(?) he was a goalscorer until he made it to the NHL. He was a good 2-way center with speed and some hands to put 8-10 in the net. |

I think sometimes it may be good to take a cue from the Islanders, they traded Griffin Reinhart before it was too late, they've made several bad picks but they have resolved themselves quickly to it being a bad pick and they got out of it
I think it's a strategy to consider with Lias |

How comfortable would everyone be with Strome as the 2C? Give him Panarin and Kravtsov and have a 1A/1B line with the other line having Zib and Kreider |

If the team was ready to compete no way do I want Strome as the 2C. Have to hope Chytil grows into that spot. Center depth is still weak with this team. That was the issue I foresaw with getting rid of Hayes (Although it was probably the right move). You have a number 1 and a couple 3/4 s right now |
