I'm not sure, hard to tell. Thought it was the Night King first time too, but watched it again and thought it was Snow. Just seems right. Night King already on his way to next kingdom. Snow left for dead, but isn't. Gets his sword to get back into the war.

They completely botched it. True trilogies need to follow the format of a play.
