Predictions were made last summer I believe. I don't think anyone league wide expected Flames to finish second place.
The more active teams last year,Flames Habs Hurricanes St L made the biggest splashes last year.
Habs finished lower than we did the previous year but were very active in the summer and went down to the last 2 games before being eliminated.
I want to see Canucks active with trades this year. I think if we did not play the season last year with Andersson Pouliot Gudbrandson Hutton we would have had at least 8 more points.
I like our team going into next year and think we have a chance at being a playoff team . The question is what moves and how much better we are. - VANTEL
As much as I hate to say it. Canucks are doing the rebuild right,. Getting rid of the players that don’t fit in to long term plans is a good idea, picking up players like Pearson and Leivio (?) were good moves.
I love the Calgary Vancouver rilvery, just means I’ll hate the Canucks sooner. |

I doubt it.
Benning, "we are going to be aggressive in free agency this summer". That means, "we are going to set this franchise back a few years this summer". |

Hopefully it really just means "aggressively shipping off Loui and Sutter this summer" |

That would be great but I have little faith in this management group. |

I am looking forward to seeing what this kid Rafferty brings. He played two games only but the second game he showed he can play tough and he was jumping into the play in the O side of the ice. |

He will make the 23 man roster. Your boy Biega, will be on the Comets, leading the youth. |

That's a good thing ,right?
I was listening to the broadcast of the Sharks game last night and the SJ announcer said Colin Miller has been in the VGK doghouse all year. Maybe he needs a change. |

You do know that if I knew exactly who was going to finish where and in what spot , I would be sitting at the draft table instead of Jim.
I got 3 of the 8 teams correct, three more of the teams I listed we were within 5 points of. I think that is a pretty impressive guess without a single game being played yet. - VANTEL
You did a very good job, you should be very proud of yourself. |

26 year old RHD, 3.8 cap hit for the few seasons... seems like he fits into JBs target group. Especially since he came from none other than Boston! I've heard Vegas could get into cap trouble next year, so seems like it could be a good trade to be made.
Wonder why he is in the doghouse over there? |

Yup.
Miller might be worth taking a chance on, not if it costs a pick or a youngster.
Vegas is in trouble next season, capwise, so if it was a Gaunce or Granlund type deal, I would do it.😁 |

Just curious on how the skilled team of Midgets is making out in the playoffs, so far? |

I think it would cost no more than Hutton. Vegas is in big problems when it comes to cap. |

Hutton won't help out their cap, as he is due to be paid about 3 million per. |

Thought the same thing after I posted it. Canucks should not qualify him. Trade or let walk. |

Works for me.
Pouliot, Gudbranson, Biega and Hutton all gone from this defense, is a step forward. |

Think it would cost someone like Goldy or Gaunce +. He's only a season removed from 41 points. They need cost certainty, but also need to replenish their team. We don't have too many D to trade away, unless they want Sautner or another AHL cusp guy |

I like Gudbrandson but I know what you mean. He wasn't a fit in Vancouver. The difference between him and the rest of the names is he is the only one that belongs in the NHL. |

From what I read, it's more a numbers game than anything else. I don't think he is as polished defensively as some of the other guys as well.
I see him expendable more because of the prospects ready to take the next step. Both Hague and Coghlan have been great in the AHL and Whitecloud has been good too. |
