This Flames-Avs game is pretty aggressive and entertaining.

They'll be close but probably miss.

Didn't you predict a bottom 3 finish?

Best to listen to the Humungous broski.

- LordHumungous

Yes. I was wrong but they are still a long ways from being a playoff team.

Yeah but the guys who predicted they would pick 10th think they know what they're talking about.

TSN Radio Vancouver: Jason Botchford on the Canucks trading up to draft defenseman Bowen Byram:

I think it’s intriguing. The #Canucks have shown a lot of interest in him. And the teams that showed the most interest this year are the Devils and the Rangers..but they’re going 1, 2.

I know there are scouts who not only think he’s the clear-cut best defenceman, but there are also scouts who think he can play next year. People said the same thing about Quinn Hughes.

Four is the the spot. Because Colorado has been interested in Hutton in the past, and they need left-side D.. Whether it’s Hutton or Juolevi, and throw Demko in as the sweetener.”

Juolevi and MD maybe.

I think jumping that high would take the 10 th OJ Demko and a second from 2020

If Col needs a LHD then it doesn't make sense trading the best LHD in the draft.

Moving up is ill advised at this point in the rebuild, without an excellent year from Markstrom, his one and only good year, this team was probably a 70 point team. They’ve got lots to do still.

If Markstrom can’t repeat, like we saw with both Dubnyk and Talbot this year, the team could be back in the 70-75 point range.

I agree about not moving up but because I don't think the player you are chasing is a game changer. He is good but not elite IMO.

I also wonder what part of the rebuild are we at or if we are rebuilding at all?

Markstrom did have a good year and it probably had a lot to do with Ian Clark. You could even say Demko's game changed quickly training with him. Canucks should pay that man whatever he wants

Definitely not worth that to jump up for Byram. Not that I’m completely in the know for drafts, but haven’t read anything game changing about him. Don’t think it’d be worth giving up three young prospects for one.

No offence to you but if Botchford, who probably knows more than both of us combined because he is around the business thinks that Demko and OJ could get you 4oa. Adding in 10oa and another 2nd is

There isn't a lot of trades in the past that has teams doing that. The last we have seen is proven commodities for each other in Hall for Larsson or Jones for Johansen.

Schneider back in the day got 9oa by his self and OJ is still a developing 5oa pick.
