Is it possible they try to sign dahlin sometime next season?
I would expect whatever moves are made untill he is signed take his future contract into consideration |
|
|
|

Make sure you count on if Skinner signs and for what price also, how much and who do they try and get in the offseason. - SABRES 89
And if we are signing Marner,
is Eichel gonna be ok with someone making more than him? |

I go $8.5M per for 5 years for Skinner. If he wants 8 years I hope we get him for $8M per. |

I have no doubt we are going after Duchene. We have been linked to him all year. |

I'd consult with Eichel before the offersheet and tell him the intent. If he wants to be surrounded with better talent that's what it will take. |

I read an interesting article on TSN about Mitch Marners performance is potentially pricing him out of a Leafs Jersey. The big contract for Nylander and Tavares adds weight to the story.
If this were somehow to come true, it would be nice to see him in the blue and gold. - lulags

That fixes 2C. That lets Middlestat play 3C. Would be a great pick up. |

I’m sure he’d say, “yeah, go get him”
But i still wonder how it would play out in the locker room
Especially if we weren’t winning
Jack’s attitude is a real thing
Confirmed by our insiders
I’m not saying it can’t work
But it seems like it’s gotta be considered |

Not allowed yet
Players can only be extended new deals during the last year of their contract
So the soonest we could extend Dahlin is after next season,
on July 1st when the new league year starts |

Stone is better now, but that contract is horrendous, he will fall off, much sooner and harder than Skinner. - Mentalorgasm5
Why do you say that ? They Are practically the same age |

Was worth 2 probably, wasn't as bad as Kadri's last year and he got 3. |

Careful if you are talking offer sheet, Dahlin is up soon. - SABRES 89
So you just re-sign him early. This is 100% on the Leafs for (frank)ing around. They got bent over by Nylander, they're going to regret the Matthews deal too; they're stuck in the middle, it's too much for a shorter term deal and they can lose him 3 years early or have to pay out the nose for all those UFA years. It's one hell of a gamble. |

I would have no problem dropping 11-12 m a year for Marner he’s better then Matthews and he can be a mvp on his own team imo we just have to trade Sam later on which is fine |

I think 8-8.5 is a good number for Skinner but, the deal Stone signed has but Botterill in a bad spot. Like I said before, now Skinner's agent is playing hard ball, Skinner should have been locked up before the trade deadline. |

for some reason, good teams or " certain" teams find ways to get it done. The Marner situation sounds like it may get tricky. |
