You're right on the first part. I think the Bruins looked at the game tape and came up with a better game plan tonight to deal with the Leafs. They also really didn't want to fall down 2-0 and go to Toronto, so they're putting forth a much better effort tonight.

The refs are incompetent, and they naturally let a lot go, which favors your team more. They also randomly call poopty soft penalties, which seem to often go against the Leafs.

It's not a conspiracy. The refs are just really bad at their jobs.
