For 10-12 feet of distance his leg and knee don't change angle at all even when he extends with the shoulder his left leg remains locked in the same position. Watch the slomo at 10s. And focus on his left leg.

Kadri changes positions of his legs not Debrusk.
Do I like the hit? No, knee on knee is dangerous for both players.
Was it malicious? No.

If you honestly think that there is no extension here I don't know what to tell you. You're either a homer, or blind, or both. It's a garbage play designed to injure a guy that he has a beef with, and he should be suspended.




EDIT: You can also see here that Kadri's leg is still on the ice at the point of contact, which makes it all the more dangerous.

Wow. That's actually a lot worse than I thought. It is such a quick thing, I didn't really see how far out his knee was. With your freeze frame right at the time of contact, his knee is really (frank)ing out there.
