We don't need anymore stinking goalies.
Really need to find a way to keep Georgi and Shesty. I 'm not ready to turn the reigns over to Shesty who has a total of 0 games in the NHL. - mdw7413
like I have said though, he's the exact same age as Hank was when he came over and Hank played 53 games in 2005-06 |

if you go to google and start doing a search for Keith Tkachuk, what's the first thing it starts to auto populate?
I get 'Keith Tkachuk fat"

Anyone see Cale Makar? He was awesome. It reminded me of Kreider when he came up in the playoffs. |

yeah, he's seriously good
because they played him right away, they will now have to protect him in expansion draft, but I think it's well worth it, they could win that series for sure |

Yea I put it at 0% he would ever go to Hartford. This is going to be a tough offseason for the Rangers. The final piece to the tear down of this rebuild is Hank. If they want to stick to their plan they may have to have a hard convo with him - TPC
I think in year 1, he will be fine. Year 2 will be a different story. |

He is now, but in his prime, he was one of my favorite players in the league |

What kind of rollerskate place did you go to? - mdw7413
The ones they put us on the bus to from elementary school (circa 1983-87)!
We had two of them - Skatetown and Roller Alley. Good times and great tunes! |

from brooks:
Shestyorkin, the 23-year-old goaltender (24 in December), has a contract clause that would allow him to return to Russia if the Rangers were to assign him to the AHL Wolf Pack, The Post has learned. Management apparently is confident, however, that would not be the 2014 fourth-rounder’s intention if he needs time in the AHL to adapt to the North American game. The netminder’s entry-level contract will be for two years because of his age.
that's good to hear but i'd rather not even risk pissing him off. |

I’m not in love with trading him but with Shestyorkin on his way and the expansion draft upcoming, why not at least get something for him? - nyrangers9479
Because Shesty is an unknown. As good as he was in the KHL doesn't mean much in the NHL and being out of his comfort zone. What happens if he falters. We are at square 1 with no good goalies. |

not going to know either way if he doesn't play
and they have Huska and Halverson down there too
there isn't enough spots for all these goalies |

I just think getting rid of Georgi is a big mistake. This isn't like Talbot. Goalies are a weird bunch and can play great in one league and be poop in another. I want the insurance of having Georgi. I want to see Shesty play, but when it comes to goalies I have no faith they can be good in the NHL no matter how good their numbers somewhere else. |

He's 23 and played incredible in front of probably the leagues worst defense. I have no doubt he would be good wherever he goes |

I don't equate getting a great return for Georgi as "getting rid of Georgi"
it's a strength, goalie depth is a strength, they should use it to help a weakness
since they can't trade Lundqvist and he isn't going to retire, I think it's the best thing |

Yup..Don't chase fish when you're already catching them.
THere is NO possible way to tell if Shesty is going to be better than Georgi.
Its not going to happen, but maybe approach Hank, and ask him to allow a trade. Otherwise, Shesty and Georgi will bounce back n forth from NHL to AHL |

Well I mean getting rid of Georgi just in the sense he is gone, not that we couldn't get a return for him.
I get where you are coming from, but is goalie depth really a strength. Hank is pretty much average now, and other than Georgi there really isn't any NHL experience.
I guess my biggest thing is I don't trust goalies. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to their success and failure in the NHL |

I'm telling you if the Rangers draft another goalie in their first 5 picks this year I will absolutely cut a bltch |

With the #2 overall selection in the 2019 NHL draft...the New York Rangers select, from the United States National Team Development Program, goaltender Spencer Knight |
