So very ironic.
You seem confused.

You don't have to post the clip of the knee, it's in the blog. When you watch it you can objectively see Jake Debrusk throw his knee out to catch Kadri's. Whether his intention was to throw a clean hit initially I can't say, but his actions were clear and he made the decision to attempt to injure. As did Kadri later. Both deserve suspensions. Kadri's should be longer with his history, and Debrusk should be labelled as a risk for a repeat offender going forward. |

As a Leaf fan you should be more concerned about matthews not showing up when the going gets tough than if DeBrusk is dirty. Three important Leaf players Matthews, Nylander and Gardiner are all playing scared. They need to step up and play with speed. If the Leafs skate the Bruins are hard pressed to keep up. |

Lol. Exactly how do you think that will impact what happens to the kids on the Leafs or Muzzin after Chara tunes him in?
That would be a dangerous game for the Leafs to play and subsequently lose.

Count how many scrums there are in these playoffs.
Again? How many elbows?
Yes take off the glasses. - Santo_44
I know what a scrum is.
Do you honestly think JD's reaction was a one off, isolated incident?
What warranted such a reaction?
Watch the clip again without Blue and white glasses.
It goes both ways kid. |

Kadri's an idiot and deserves what he gets, but is no one going to address how Debrusk was trying to retire Marleau into the stanchion??? |

Players skate betweem 20 and 30 MPH, do you think DeBrusk was timing the hit into the stanchion? |

That's a concern for later. I have no impact on whether Matthews plays well or not. The poor officiating that's happening in multiple series is an issue and that's something that can be adjusted. I've always maintained that referees should be held to a higher standard than they are and therefore held more accountable. There's no reason they shouldn't be subjected to post game press conferences the way coaches and players are. When you let guys like Kadri, Marchand, Chara and Debrusk run around like dummies without repercussions someone is going to get hurt. And that's what happened. |

When were Marchand and Chara running around exactly?
I saw two young bucks having a series of clashes over two games. They both took it too far on separate occasions and 1 of the two lost it yet again. Just like last year.
We know Kadri is the catalyst on the Leafs come playoff time. Now he's gone. Mission accomplished. The kids don't like to play playoff hockey yet. Give em some time, like 4 or 5 years.

Matthews led the team in shots, and because he didn't score in a game where only one player managed to solve tukka, he's not showing up? Pasta has one assist and is a - 2.. |

Poor officiating impacts all teams equally. If all Leaf players don't show up good or bad officiating won't matter. Matthews, Nylander and Gardiner will be targeted because all three will disappear. The Bruins will try to slow Marner and Tavares and some others and they will continue to play their game. If your biggest concern isn't all Leaf players playing through the rough stuff, you're concerned about the wrong thing. |

Marchand has been behaving himself so far this series, but you can't expect me to believe you don't see the extra leniency Chara gets from the officials. That would just be blind homerism. Rewatch game one and tell me there weren't multiple infractions Chara wasn't called on. You're not wrong, Kadri is out. I think that was a game plan from Cassidy. It might not bear any fruit though.

No, it doesn't. I'm not saying the NHL wants the Leafs to lose, I'm not one of those. What I will say is over the last two games there have been more non calls that favour the Bruins. That could even out and the Universe could be balanced and the Leafs might still lose.
But they won't.

You aren't wrong about Chara. Although many well respected veterans receive the same treatment, it doesn't make it right. That's what he's earned over his career.
Kadri is a punk who shows up the refs. He has no ones respect but his teammates and his fans.
With that said, I'd love to have him on my team.
He's super underrated and extremely valuable.
I was only worried about Coyle matching up with him going into the playoffs.
Now no need to worry.

Ya know . . . the whole game was physical, both sides crossed the line with physicality - and the guys in the striped shirts couldn't find their whistles. The playoff attitude of "alls fair" merely enables players to push the edge ! Knee-on-knee uncalled; take-downs that would make Olympic wrestles proud; cross checks; and now they decide the only player to get any fine/penalty is Kadri ???!!!
I'm not supporter of either team - as I feel like both teams get very favorable rulings/calls/reviews . . . for whatever reason.
For the Boston side to jump all over Kadri is laughable . . . as they have probably the top cheap-shot artiste in the league !!
And Toronto complaining is just . . . well, it's just Toronto. Per your thoughts, your players do no wrong - every penalty against your team is a travesty of justice.
When Kadri committed the foul, at least DeBrusk was on his feet and saw it coming.
I'm interested in the DOPS enforcement here, considering the 1 game they handed out to Kucherov when he tripped Nutivaara, then when Nuti was defenseless on his hands and knees, Kucherov rammed him into the boards.
I'd rather some high-skilled hockey instead of just goon-pucking it around.

No surprise here. The Bruins have been getting away with this kind of bullpoop for years by receiving favorable/timely calls and non-calls.
(frank)ing amazing how one of the most penalized teams during the regular season (BOS 2nd in PIMs, TOR 31st) manages to clean everything up for Game 1 of the playoffs. EXACT same bullpoop happened last year too (BOS 7th in PIMs, TOR 28th). Fact.
Just using DeBrusk alone:
1. Kadri/DeBrusk battling, both go down, Kadri looking at ref and gets jumped, DeBrusk on top of Kadri punching him. Result: 4 on 4
2. DeBrusk on boards, bloodied Dermott's nose with intentional elbow. Result: No call
3. Kadri steps out of box, DeBrusk with full knee-to-knee hit. Result: No call
4. DeBrusk jumps RIGHT UP after Kadri crosscheck. Result: Kadri faces in-person hearing
The whole thing is (frank)ing laughable how bad and obvious it is. |
