How quickly and conveniently a Canucks fan forgets Boston's bullpoop in the 2011 Cup. Remember how fun it was watching Marchand turn Sedin into a bobblehead. |

The NHL has it in for the Leafs ... go ahead say it ..... - paulr
Not at all. I'll be the first to admit Kadri's crosscheck was stupid and selfish.
As I said, (frank)ing amazing how one of the most penalized teams during the regular season (BOS 2nd in PIMs, TOR 31st) manages to clean everything up for Game 1 of the playoffs. EXACT same bullpoop happened last year too (BOS 7th in PIMs, TOR 28th). This all there for everyone to see and the numbers support it.
Whether it was all of DeBrusk's poop last night, justifying all of Chara's garbage because of his strength and size, Marchand getting away with countless things or just receiving a slap on the wrist (i.e slew foots, low bridge hits, licking+++,) Lucic, Thornton and on and on and on etc etc etc.
Boston almost ALWAYS gets off easy, it doesn't matter who they're playing. |

Because DeBrusk was COMPLETELY innocent last night. - As_I_See_It
No, he crossed the line as well.
No need to light up Marleau where he did. He could have waited a second or two.
The kneeing incident was Kadri trying not to get destroyed open ice.
The roughing penalty on Kadri while being mugged by JD was terrible, but I get it. He plays super tough and dishes it out in spades so be prepared to take it back.
Refs hear and see way more than we do at home. Maybe there was a reason they weren't inclined to call stuff in Kadri's favor.
We see it here all the time with Marchand and it's pretty well earned, although he's behaved this season so far. |

Refs put thier whistles away. This is on them. Why is playoff hockey officated different than regular season. Why bother with a regular season. Penalties are penalties and it went both ways last night. So what do you expect from players. - ziffles
so you're saying the cross check to the face was fine last night.
are you new to hockey? yeah, fewer penalties are called in the playoffs. It happens, both ways. Kadri made up his mind and said i'm gonna hurt this guy. Clear and deliberate with intent. buh...bye. |

Any comment on DeBrusk's "clear and deliberate with intent" here?...
Checkmate.

Yup you’re right on point.i totally blame the refs for this. Had they called the kneeing and the other missed calls, it doesn’t get to this level. |

Classic Leafs fan. Blame the ref.
I can literally still frame any number of clips to make something look the way I want it to.
You know better, you watched the play. |

Coming into the Bruins blog and attacking the posters here. - kaptaan
First, im not losing anything. Im quite calmly explaining what my course of action would be. fighting back against de brusk does nothing because he sucks. Its common sense, if someone goes after your stars with their crap, retailaiting against their crap wont accompkish anything.
Second, i didnt even know thisbwas a bruins blog. Unless i missed something the writer doesnt have anything bruins at the top of his blogs? |

I do t think debrusk went in with intent, but if yiu watch it in slow ko he definitely stcuk both his knee and elbow out. Elbow missed and knee didnt. Is that wirth a ciupke of games? I don't know, i guess thats up to the league. Its definitley a taboonin hockey thiugh.
There was also a coupke of ounches to the head while kadri was in a vulnerable position earlier too. |

Kadri when hes pissed is a cheap shot artist and goes headhunting. blatant cross check to the face here. I hate both teams but kadri clearly needs to get suspended. - Markiz
Why? It's playoff hockey. DeBrusk needs to man up. |

I mean, he had his stick and hands up in peopmes face all night. Are the bruins such pansies the league needs to step in as soon as someone gives a little payback? |

targeting a guys head instead of hitting him with a clean body check or challenging him to a fight isn’t exactly “manning up” from Kadri either.

It's playoff hockey. If DeBrusk has an issue with it he should target Kadri again. I can't believe this is even a thing. |

Sure. Targeting heads and knees should be off limit. Wouldbt that mean debrusk should get 5 to 10 games? |

Depends on if they can prove clear intent, especially since he doesn’t have the history Kadri does.
