who you going after?...how much will it cost?...

unless they need to open up space in a trade, july 1 free agents usually aren't worth the cost

- Michael Pachla

Hayes, Eberle, Duchene, Ferland. Not necessarily in that order.

who would you spend that $6 million on?...I agree there will be free agents, but you're always overpaying and more often than not, that free agent never lives up to his big salary--see okposo
- Michael Pachla

I would go big, and give Karlsson whatever he wanted if we could free up the cap. Might be a long shot, but that makes our team legitimate.

And yes I do mean anything.

no that cant be right I was told the other day by someone that they would rather have talent than any grit.....

I fully agree, we are way to soft to play against right now.... we better start bringing in guys that have a little grit.. we would be out of the playoffs in 4 games with this team.

- gordong

part of the solution lies with winning...

winning breeds confidence and confidence makes a team play bigger and grittier

hayes makes the most sense, but he's gonna be wildly overpaid...as they all will be...and two years down the road we'll be female doging about that

I think that's how it works in buffalo

I'd rather not lose 4 1st round picks.

Karlsson transcends the team. Marnier does not.

We don't need anymore boat anchors, i'd rather Girgensons and Larsson back

I agree with this 1000%. I don't get it why a bunch on people on this forum want us to take on aging vets with lousy contracts in order to secure (maybe) a good young player. Just look at the roster right now and look at all the dead-weight contracts either expiring or still around that Botterill has had to deal with - Moulson, Okposo, Bogo etc. We need to be ridding the roster of these contracts, not adding to them.

And for those that don't want to pay Skinner $9 million a year and want to trade Reinhart and his 20+ goals per year, I would love to hear how they are going to replace 60+ goals off one of the lowest scoring teams in the NHL. Should we plan on Oloffson, Thompson and Nylander with their incredible professional hockey resume's to fill the net at least 60 times?

Personally I don't want to move Reinhart, and going into this season, I was not a Reinhart fan.

Dump cap, keep Reinhart, and try to get Skinner here for 8.5.

Probably, but Botterill needs to needs to take some big chops at the ball. A couple singles doesn't get us out of this for next year

Moving up Okposo, late 1st and cap to sign Karlsson (at a crazy number) to help our dreadful D

or move 4 1st, same amount of cap space for Mitch. To me its a no brainer to what to go after.
