Remember that a teams best player is often shadowed and has shut down players on him. Result can be going pointless but it opens space for other players. So even though he didn't produce points directly it did the team good by drawing the D towards him. |

It could be argued that he Isn't the best player, he doesn't even play on the top line, as Tavares and Marner are the top line. |

The only real stories so far are columbus/duchene and the isles. These other ones are way too close to be calling out busts yet. Unless you thought Carolina had a chance like I did i meant Columbus guys! |

And has cost them 2 games with his brutal defense...but That's okay he has 5 points and that is what is important. |

One year LA made the playoffs by 1 single point (which i think was by playing its last game in OT) then went on to win the cup. It does happen - SMBDragon
I already commented on the one time it happened lol |

You watch much Rebels this year? A buddy of mine was pumping up Zaitsev as a late round steal. You have an opinion? - belcherbd
Haven't been to a game this year but locally Sutter has said that:
“He’s an elite level player, a stud,” said Sutter of the six-foot-one, 185-pound dazzler. “Right now he’s the best Russian centre iceman in his age group.
Pretty bold take. |

Matthews with 0 points. How long before Blabcock starts female doging about him in the playoffs again. - boonerbuck
You have to know that if the Tavares-less Isles dump the Pens and the Leafs are out first round with Tavares in the lineup the trolling is going to be severe correct?

Playoffs have been just crazy good this year, anyone see Kane take on Reaves last night? Thought he was gonna get killed but he hung in there like a champ.
Playoffs are just a different game, coaches who get their teams to adjust usually have success. As we can see in both Columbus and NYI’s. |

Pit was the highest on avg 28 hits per game
Wpg mid pack at 22
Cgy bottom at 15
On avg just about every team except Dallas is averaging about 40 hits per game in the playoffs. |

Hits? It’s about systems plays and coverage. Hits will wear the other team down but eliminating their top players abilities to score will frustrate them. |

In the regular season players will take shifts or even nights off ...they will pass up chances to hit a player ...less back checking ...less attention to detail
In the playoffs you better have your man, finish every check ...and if your not giving it 100% your butt sits on the bench |

With Vegas being royally fawked in terms of cap - I wonder if taking on Clarksons contract would be worth what they got for taking it on 2 years ago - A 1st & 2nd, (probably not) BUT it frees up over 5mil and essentially gives them some $$ toward signing Karlsson and Subban. What do you think DC's contract is worth? |

I really hope Benning is paying attention to these playoffs and considers them when drafting and making changes this off-season.
