Canada beat Belarus 6-5 in a U18 friendly. Alex Newhook scored a hat trick and OT winner. Dylan Cozens 3 assists. - VANTEL
How about then pg spruce kings, 14 and 1 in the playoffs, 15 year old fin Williams with the winner last night, Michigan wolverines already have him locked up 2 years down the road, big body who punishes and the forecheck he creates is phenominal, someone to keep an eye on. Layton ahac is a projected 4th rounder this year has added offence to his game in the playoffs. |

He's doing wonders with the BJs and the isles aren't too bad either... |

Newhook is the real deal, would be an excellent winger for petey. I would say his skill set is as high as any of the USHL guys, but the BCHL scares guys off. This tourney will probably shoot him up some draft boards. |

I was referring to the resident Doctor's "hand that wields the sword" metaphor, but whatever works I guess |

I liked what JB had to say on 31 thought, doesn't sound like he's in a hurry at all. Not going to make any major headlines, looking to improve some areas but headed in the right direction. |

If he truly does stay patient in free agency, and shops around guys like Sutter this summer then I'll join the "he's learned his lessons" group.
Until then, I have my doubts. |

I read somewhere the Aquilini’s chewed his ass for the wasted money he’s piled up over the past three years, so he won’t be going hard after guys in free agency because he’s not allowed, unless it’s a big fish. |

I understood the mixed messages coming from JB and Linden but when we get them from just JB, I start to really wonder if he knows what he wants, or he's using the media to send messages to FA to find out what he wants. |

Frankly, if they hadn't chewed him out for a few of those early contracts it would be pretty shocking. That comes as no surprise to me. I would imagine, as many of us have bandied around about, he will seek out a wing and a dman. not much else, and likely not bug names. |

He could have a garage sale and then reload. |

I'm hoping what happened here is that FA gave him nice scolding after Benning went on radio last week talking about potentially being aggressive in free agency to fill weaknesses.
Either that or JB really does just change his mind every week |

He hasn’t really produced much from his spending so I think they’ve tightened that noose around his neck. |

LE specifically. Those were actually pretty frugal contracts. Don't you know this board is for bashing JB? |

His garage sale would produce about nine dollars and some spare change lol, I’m not holding out hope. |

It's a rebuilding team. When he came in, he was meant to re-tool. the re-tool failed. The rebuild is going very well and has prduced very well. It's a bit of a bigger picture than wins/losses. |
