This Lightning team is incredibly soft, Stamkos is not the player he once was and Kucherov carries him. No excuse for this, what happens to Cooper, safe? - ClaudeFather
No one expects Stamkos to be the player he was, after the injuries he's had.
Cooper just signed an extension. |

I don't know how they expect to win while giving up 12 odd man rushes a period. |

Why the hell is Cooper putting the fourth line out there with 5 minutes to go when we're down a goal. That decision should get him sacked alone. |

Cooper still can't figure out how to beat a neutral zone trap and he doesn't know how to adjust at all. It will be interesting to see what happens now. It feels like he has lost the locker room even after that kind of regular season. |

Where is Bolts91? I would really like his opinion on Cooper now after that embarrassment of a coaching job?
Will be interesting to see what happens over the summer with this team. |

Karlsson is available... lol. But with so many NTCs on the roster how much can they change personnel wise? A coaching change seems most likely if they want to shake things up. |

Hopefully Foote is ready to go. I'm hoping that Cirelli also finds his way into the top six next season, hopefully after trading one of Killorn, Johnson, Palat, etc. He was great all year long, and clearly has a lot of potential. Need to get rid of Callahan, Girardi, Rutta (thought he was pretty underwhelming), and possibly Stralman and Coburn. |

I have never been so digusted. What happened to our top players? How does a team that has the very best group of forwards, the best group of defensemen, a top five goaltender and the very best NHL coach not destroy a fragile, low talent and two decade long losing team? I believe a lot of this lost goes back to March 26, 2019. One of the darkest days in franchise history. The day they disrespected their NHL coach. The winningest coach in NHL in franchise history. A coach that has not been the same since that contract. Did anyone notice him during the series? No emotion, no drive, no change to strategy, terrible with the media. March 26 made me question my allegiance to the Lightning. My family has elected not to renew our season tickets because of this decision. With the Kings and Flyers hiring new coaches and paying them quite handsomely, Cooper is now outside of the top 10 list of best paid coaches. It's abhorrent. The coaching decisions in this series have been questionable at best. I believe this is directly related to March 26th.
I believe it is time to make significant changes to this team. Point with one single goal in 4 games I believe should be traded to the highest bidder. Miller, Palat, Killorn... ship them out. Stralman, Coburn, Girardi and Rutta... let them walk.
I know this may not be popular but I believe Julien BriseBois should be fired. He had so many assets to deal at the deadline. Looking at Duchene dominate in the series, there is no way the Bolts should have let him go to Columbus. Tampa could have sent more to Ottawa.
I hope that in the face of this loss, Jeff Vinik will consider selling the team. At the end of the day, he is directly responsible for this humaliating loss.
In the face of all the nasty messages and bullying directed towards me, this will be my final post on hockeybuzz. |
