It’s not a “hate greatness” thing, I think, it’s just I don’t want to root for the favorite. And during his greatest years, he was not widely liked by other golfers. Really arrogant and aloof.
I like to root for an underdog. After his “history” I actually started liking Tiger more. He became more modest.
I respect his skills, and everything he has to do personally and physically to get back into winning form. I just don’t root for him. - Der Kaiser
I can respect that. |

One thing that is false in your statement is Kucherov does not carry Stamkos. Aside from them playing on the PP together they have been on separate lines all year. They are mutually beneficial to each other on the PP.
But to be honest the whole entire team including Stamkos hasn't shown up for the most part. Its the young guys like Cirelli and Cernak showing compete.
As for Cooper, not a hater or fan but maybe its time for a new voice in the locker room. - stammerman
You'd never know it, but this person is a fan of one of the greatest regular season teams of the modern era. |

Fowler is my guy. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
My wife loves Rickie. I'm a Phil guy and have been for over 25 years. Tiger is just meh to me but yesterday was quite impressive. I would also say that he caught the perfect storm on the back 9. When Molinari put it in Rae's creek on 12 I said to myself this is now Tiger's time to pounce, and he did. Koepka put it in the water as well on 12 and Cantlay had the lead after 16 but he bogeyed 17 and 18 and he was done. If Koepka made his birdie putt on 18 it could have been a different outcome.
I don't like Tiger at Bethpage but he'll roar at Pebble imo. |

Was a great tournament all around, some new faces and a couple of the amateurs did well which is always nice. Tiger also played it safe on 18 knowing he could take a 5. |

Gonna make a BPA based on NHL ranks
1. Hughes
2. Kakko
3. Podkolzin
4. Byram
5. Dach
6. Turcotte
7. Cozens
8. Zegras
9. Kaliyev
10. Caufield
11. Boldy
12. Krebs
13. Soderstrom
Caufield biggest riser, 15 to 8 (NA). Krebs fell 2, Boldy fell 3. Sabres are in a sweet spot to pick up a great tier 3 (Hughes 1 Kakko 2) talent. - TheSabresTaco

Month or so ago Gerbe and others said" no more Islander rejects" now people want Eberle, Jesus Christ people wake up. Enough with these crap offers about Tampa players and no more Eberle talk, you are just coming up with deals just to make deals and that puts right back to drafting in the top 10 again next year and more boat anchor contracts. - SABRES 89

The Masters is always the best major of the season and it was very exciting. The leaderboard after the 3rd rd was just nuts, so many good players close to the lead. And correct, the Am's did quite well.
I was there in 2013 and was behind the green on 10 when Adam Scott won in the playoff. A very cool experience and just a beautiful golf course. |

After watching these playoffs and seeing how nasty they are (like every year), it is obvious we don't have the size or snarl to compete. Sign me up to one of the two big centres - Dach or Cozens. Strength and size down the middle. - SabreWest

He stated publicly a bunch of traits he wants in a coach. They're all common sense. He's learned what not to get after seeing Housley work.
You have to agree the ROR trade was made under extenuating circumstances. The return has been underwhelming at best. Sobotka was always a clear throwin, and Berglund was expected to be protection for CM and along the course of his contract, a 3C. That bombed out. In hindsight, TT was hardly a surprise based on his past work. Still perplexes me how he wasn't sent down in November. Then there's 2 picks.
Clearly there was a problem with team dynamics coupled with his contract. So be it. The Sheary and Skinner trades were steals..
So yes, for now, we don't have a choice than to go with Bott's vision, but there isn't enough material, nor has there been enough time, to really make a judgement on his work. All I know is that this summer needs to be yuge for him. - TheSabresTaco
I expected more goal scoring honestly...in the 20 range, he did add more assists than I thought though.
Once he learns to skate on single bladed skates, he could be something. |

It was my first trip there this year.
I just kept stopping when I was walking to look around. There really is no other way to describe that place except surreal.
This was the first time in Tiger's career where he came from behind to win a major.
There was drama all over the place and at one point on the back 9 there were 5 players tied for the lead.
It was a tremendous tournament. |

You don't get legit 20 goal scorers for 4th round picks, even with Hunwick's cap dump.
I expected a few more goals though too. |

My thoughts exactly.
I posted that a little earlier today!
As long as he stays healthy and doesn't play too much this could be a complete resurgence of his career.
I am still wondering if yesterday was like Nicklaus in 86 where it's his last or if Tiger has more left in the tank. |

It should be a rule of thumb if you're in the lead on Sunday on 12, you should club up. |

He had the right club though, just shouldn't have attacked the pin.
If you go long on Sunday you have a bunker shot that could very well end up in the water coming the other way. |

Glad you enjoyed yourself. The place is just spectacular and the best seat in the house is the stands behind the 12th tee. You can see the 11th green to your left and also get a glimpse of 13. I remember that year I was walking down the 15th hole and bent over and grabbed a clump of grass. I had to do it lol.
