Not in the game he was in. He was too slow.
What is better a young guy that hits, shoots but makes mistakes (Rikkola)
Or
The vet that is slow and loses the puck down the boards often (Maatta).
At this point a change may be helpful. - Doogs
I would rather have the vet who is a smarter and better player than a guy who takes himself out of position to go for hits and can’t pass the puck as well as the vet. |

I didn’t see that in Rikkola, but maybe you saw something I didn’t. I think the speed thing is an issue.
I also see Rikkola as Maatta when he was younger. |

I also don't think Sulley is playing the D who can deliver the puck to the O.
I also think you could have tried fighting fire with fire. In other words, trap the trap. |

That’s how they beat Tampa in the conference finals in the first cup run. Once they started trapping them, Tampa had no answer. |

If I'm remember this correctly, that's how the 92 - 93 team came back from 1 - 3 vs Washington. Drove Washington crazy.
It takes commitment from the players though... I don't know if this team is willing. Or the coach for that matter. |

The Islanders haven't done anything since before CDs came out; their fans need to vent. |

Blaming the GM is a cop out. This Pens roster even with JJ should be able to beat the Islanders. |

literally u and 1 other person mentioned it while everyone else were sucking off stats and talking about how poopty JJ is for the 100 milionth time
They think it was caused by the renovations they are doing there atm.
The Notre dame buring is like if the Empire State Building, Lincoln Memorial, Golden Gate Bridge, The White House and Mount rushmore would all be slowly getting destroyed in front of your eyes. It is sucha huge landmark for France and it's history and has stood there and wetherd history for over 850 years through the bubonic plague, Napoleon, the French revelution and 2 world wars it has survived. So I would think sucha historic building and it's part ways downfall would have gotten more limelight. |

My father has had this super bad joke for over 20 years... "I've got underwear older than you, and I'm wearing them right now".
The kid who made that 'rap'... I feel he may be young enough I can use that line towards him. |

I totally agree with all of that man. For me it's a moment I'll remember where I was when I first heard about and saw it. Seeing the spire falling was gut wrenching. That place means alot to alot of people. |

I think it’s bigger than any of those. It’s one of if not the most iconic Catholic cathedrals in the world. I’m pretty in shock still. Thank God they saved the structure. It’s getting plenty of lime light, just not on a hockey blog.
@Matt: They were doing some renovation work on the spire and I think that’s what caused it. |

1) I think people don't give the Islanders enough credit for how good they are.
2) Overall I agree. I put the onus on Sullivan. |

Agree on both points. My order of blame would go... Sully 1st, Players 2nd, JR 3rd. |

Yeah it really sucks and I would say its a landmark for the world not just France. I havent been there but I have been in Cathederals in Munich, Vienna and Salzburg that were bombed in WW2 and TBH you would never know so hopefully they can restore it. I mean the Brits burned down the White House and we rebuilt it so theres hope. From what I hear the exterior will be saved?
Also I dont this France would admit it if it were terrorism....They have enough issues on their own with that, there would be huge riots against the population if it were the case. |
