I still think he can be a 2C but it isn't going to happen overnight.

Look at Karlsson for example it took him a few seasons to get to where he is now.

I think Casey develops around the same.

Have Casey develop in the 3C scoring role instead of the traditional shut down role that line used to be (that is now the 4th lines role)

I want scoring from all 3 lines

- Stripes77

I’m 100% on board with this idea
Just gotta find the right “2C” at the right cost

all I said was I did not like the hire of sean
and pointed out the bills and sabres turn over coaches and gms at a crazy rate, per cbs and nfl network pat kirwin

and sean got blown out twice as often as rex

nothing more
nothing less

terry and kim wanted rex out after they were eliminate from playoffs in his second season

they are constantly told to be hands off by paid consultants

and they are not

- homiedclown

I thought Rex should be fired too
Did u not?

shows me rex was stupid for switching the d
- homiedclown

Sure.
Shows me whom ever hired Rex; be it Terry or the GM is a complete idiot for doing so.
Humm let's see, we have a top 5 D with this scheme, but we are going to hire a coach who runs the opposite scheme, rendering 50% of the D Roster as misfits to be replaced...about a 2 - 3 year process.
Do we really want to go through that to get...
Back to where we are now?

Got it

Is Botts just full of sh!t saying he’s the one that’s making these decisions then?
He just trying to save face?

Asking sincerely

I was mixed on Rex, part of me thought he overachieved with the roster

Whaley was brutal and got exposed the last 3 years

Whaley was involved in the EJ pick and you can't whiff on your first round picks

if you get karlsson, you have to move casey to the wing IMO

you don't draft casey where they did to be a career 3rd line center

- homiedclown

Karlsson would end up being the shutdown 3C. Need to be built strong down the middle. Most successful teams are.

I hated the EJ pick too

But Rex ruined the defense all on his own

Defense was his specialty,
and the scheme HE DECIDED to implement made our defense much worse...

Rex failed at what he was supposedly good at
That alone was enough for me to say we should move on

Well, looking forward...
i think whoever our next coach is probably matter less than Botts getting us some more talent here

So hopefully Botts is legit
I’ve liked some stuff he’s done so far
And disagreed with some moves he’s made as well

I think asplund has all the tools to be a 3rd line center though

esp if skinner walks, casey need to be putting up points in the top 6

and if skinner stays

skinner-eichel-casey
olofsson-karlsson-reinhart
nylander-asplund-tage?
sheary-pick a scrub- pick a scrub

if you fix the D, this is so much better then last year

Whatley and Terry ruined that D by firing the guy that coached it to top 5 for some smoke and mirrors guy.

And people wonder why the fan base of both organizations is

Kris Baker REALLY likes Davidson as a 2way Center as well

Asplund might not have enough offense for 3C and might just settle into a good 4C role for us at some point
I’d like to see him work on his offense in Rochester for another season
Let Larsson be the defensive 4C for this season

We would’ve had to name Schwartz as head coach to keep him
Or have brought in an offensive HC

He wasn’t gonna run Rex’s defense-
Rex was

I don’t remember a lot of ppl saying we should make Schwartz our HC

An ideal draft for me see us getting Bryce Love with our early pick in the 4th
And TE Dawson Knox with our later 4th
Hoping they’re both still there

And I’d like us to trade back in the 1st and get extra picks
If not... RUN to the mic & pick Devin White if he’s available ❤️❤️❤️

We really need Rochester to have a good long successful postseason. If they get swept, the future looks bleak.

Sounds like Davidson, asplund, and a few others are close? Malone?

I think we love down in the 1st, acquire another late second. Early 3rd and draft Bryce love.

If, not , the Bill's draft a top tier rb for Frank gore to teach

Again, with an extra pick from koving down- book it

Sounds like an ideal plan to me
If we end up getting an extra 2nd & 3rd,
we can add a lot of good players

DT & WR are both deep in this draft
And i like the TEs rated in the 5-7 area
(4th round-ish)
just about as much as the guys ranked 3&4

Knox is a guy i really like
But Wharring from SD State and Oliver from SJ State look like they could be good options for a young developing QB too

If we wait on WR, i like Isabella
If Brown (Oklahoma) falls to us round 2,
I’d take him in a heartbeat
I like Neal from ArzState & Campbell from OhioSt in round 2 as well

But i also like DT Jones from OhioSt & Abram (S) from MissSt in round 2 as well

I’d even trade down TWICE in the 1st round if possible

I like DTs like Wilkins or Simmonds in the 20s
I think M.Brown from Oklahoma can be another Tyreek Hill, so I’d be ok with him in the 20s
