I like when people defend him and use things like that as examples. He was the (frank)ing GM, it was his job to make this team better and he didn't. Had he not done any of that he would have been the worst GM in the history of professional sports that wouldn't have been fit to manage an bantam travel team

Imagine someone defending a surgeon by saying "Well yeah he wasn't great but like three of his patients lived so you have to give him a little credit"?

Sure he sucked but he got leddy and boychuk and traded still in the ahl reinhart for 2 1sts that turned into barzal and beau. He traded strome for eberle straight up, I'm well aware of all he did wrong but those were good moves regardless of what else he did wrong

Basically komorov and kuhnackle and sbisa aside the entire roster was snows, thank God hes gone and lou was here to bring in Trotz but the pieces were here they just weren't utilized correctly. It's like me making soup and then Gordon Ramsey making it with the same ingredients this difference is he won't jerk off in your soup

So I'm pretty sure Snow has absolutely nothing to do with the Islanders anymore. Yesterday morning Roenick called in to do his weekly spot on a Buffalo Radio show called the Instigators. He was on the golf course when he called in and he was golfing with you guessed it Garth Snow The day after sweeping the Pens you think Trotz and Lou were out golfing? I'll guarantee they were hunkered down in their office getting to work on the second round.

Garth can do less damage on the golf course unless you get close to his shot.

Garth is working at Northwell Ice Center. Basically nothing to do with The Islanders hockey ops.

That wasn't directed at you, but recently I've seen small factions of people defending him across a few different social media platforms and I just can't understand it. Of course he did some good things, otherwise he would've been the biggest embarrassment in sports history. I just find it funny that people think he should get a pat on the back for those things. Congrats, you did the bare minimum.

If I pay extra, will Gordon do that for me?

I just love the Garth defenders. Just because he never hired a decent coach it means nothing.

This season shows how bad Garth really did. Garth not only picked the coaches he probably had a lot to do with coaching decisions.

Yea my only point was he brought in the guys. Honestly what lou did by bringing in real hockey people and not taking on 6 titles has made a huge difference, I cant wait to see what he does at f.a and if hes able to land an actual top guy. It's his secret ingredient, the jizz

I also wish I could see into an alternate universe, in which Peter Chiarelli didn't exist, to see what the Islanders roster would look like

Since Lou's been hired the whole organization has been change from top to bottom.

Really incredible he has transformed the once laughing stock of the NHL to a real NHL Organization. If the shovels truly hit the ground in Belmont and the new home is a reality it will be the last piece in making the organization a destination that players want to come to and not run from.

RIP Charles but it's pretty bad if he gave Garth a sweet deal when the new owners were taking over in two years.

Yup, but his capacity with hockey ops is getting coffee and as chiefs said manning the glory hole.

Now I didn't go to dinner with the players or a wedding but that what I heard. Now take it for what its worth from an Uber Driver.

The fact that he was golfing the morning after advancing in the 1st rd is all I needed to know if he was still involved with the important stuff

Give him a break. It's a lot easier to pat yourself on the back after you stretch out your arms and shoulders swinging a club for 18
