No bad karma please

Arthur Staple @StapeAthletic
now
No Clutterbuck or Boychuk for #Isles practice. Also Lamoriello speaking shortly.

The fact that Lou is speaking is a little scary

I'm fine if MDC has to play for Clutterbuck but Hickey for Boychuk?

He seems like the likely call-up. Only BPT defenseman with any significant (that's being generous) NHL experience

That sucks for BPT though, they start their playoffs tonight

That would be great but no way a guy with 30 nhl games under his belt is coming in when hickey has like 500 and playoff experience

No, he'd be the 7th defenseman unless something happened to someone else

I don't want Luca Sbisa to have even a remote chance of seeing playing time in the playoffs. If that guy is on the ice we've got problems.

I just realized halfway through this post that Dennis Seidenberg's rotting corpse is still hovering around this team and now I'm having PTSD flashbacks

Bridge making the playoffs is a bigger shock than the Isles sweeping the Pens.

I'm short on time, what point in the video does he talk about battle level and playing with jam? I need to just jump to that.
- eichiefs9

It's right after he talks about our 7th d-man playing a heavy game.

Yeah, this likely means Hickey plays, Sbisa becomes our #7 and {choke....choke} Seidenberg becomes our #8.

Cmac was Cappy's favorite heavy player.

Maybe, I don't think it's an unfair opinion at all but I also think that the NHL club is the priority and if they want to make sure he's available in case of emergency then I could see them calling him up regardless.

I agree 100%.

Having Boychuck injured sucks but having Hickey as a 7th dman with his PO experience isn’t as bad as most on here will think.
I mean Pelech and Mayfield shouldn’t even see the ice and can’t skate and they are doing fine with Trotz running the show.

Well if hes here hes not playing and if someone gets hurt he can be in Washington or carllina the same day so they can still get him on the ice if need be

At this point Boychuk being the one that was injured was probably better than if it were Clutterbuck and we had to break that line up.

Agreed.

Again other teams aren’t as deep defensively so it could be worse as you said.

I was just gonna post the same thing and I also think if Carolina advances I think Hickey would be a better matchup against them then Boychuk becasue they are smaller and quicker. If Washington advances they might need a stretcher to take Hickey off the ice

They may need a stretch after captain shoots him with a high powered rifle

Just to clarify I'm not saying I'd rather Hickey be in over JB just saying it might not be the worst thing if they play Carolina.. **Ducks for cover**
