Nobody is suggesting trading Petey, or Horvat or Boeser or Hughes or Demko. Edler is a UFA and I don’t agree. I don’t think you would get even a 3rd for any of the rest of that trash on your list. - 1970vintage

He is but if you want another 2nd or 3rd he's probably the cost.
Any player we are willing to trade is not bringing us a 2nd let alone a 3rd |

7 x 6,080,000 and see what happens? Give up a first and 3rd for Connor. - canucksfan1944
The contract offer can be higher. That price was at the 2018 cap ceiling. Yes do it.
Projected at 6.3m for a 1st & 3rd |

I'm pretty sure all those teams are on his no trade list. |

The ones not giving us a 3rd for him. With his cap hit and injury history I don't see any team taking him. |

Maybe if we throw in Goldobin, Granlund and Palmu we could get a 3rd |

I couldn’t watch tonight because I don’t get SN360 but the Knights are so agressive, and they make you pay for every single mistake. Fun to watch. Still remember several people who wouldn’t have traded player for player with Vegas before a game had been played. I bet it’s 10 years before the Canucks finish higher than the Knights. |

How you feeling about San Jose now?
Don’t think Tortz worked here because he was never actually in Vancouver nah, wrong team at the wrong time. Tortz needs a vet heavy team to push over the top, he’s not going to mold a group of young guys or be able to whip up a team that’s trending down |

Too many puss1es and he couldn't get a membership to the Country Club
You knew it never had a chance when Bieksa said we don't need a coach to come in here and show us what to do. |

All true...but Torts sure didn't help his own cause here. Chose to live in Point Roberts instead of Van...never showed up to run practises so on and so forth. I get the whole Country Club atmosphere but the players sure didn't get any message from Torts that he was dedicated so tough for the players to go to battle for him. Plus strong arm coaching tactics don't work everywhere. |

It was because he admitted taking the job when his mind was not into it and then he actually never ran a practice or talk to the players.
I know that facts are awkward. |

lol I might be off to my worst 1st round predictions in history. SJ, PIT TBAY, CGY hell TO might even beat BOS.

He probably realized he wasn't running the team.
He took NYR and TB to the SCF and dragged CBJ from the hallows of hell to sweeping the best team in hockey. I will leave his credentials alone. I understand why others don't like him. |

First team in NHL history to win the Presidents Trophy and be swept in the first round, did not see that coming. They were just being outworked by a team that wanted it more, or, understood, somehow, what it was gonna take to get it done.
I picked the Islanders to beat the Pens in my bracket though |

Bieska was an idiot. Torts couldn't penetrate the country club because he wasn't physically here and he didn't really care. |
