I would bet that they used both.

For the record, I’m not a stats guy. My mathematic abilities are limited to calculating sulfur adds. Most advanced stats go right over my head. But just because I don’t fully understand them doesn’t mean I discount them.

Any team should be using every tool at their disposal. Advanced stats, video review, voodoo, heart and balls, all of it.
