Between analytics and midgets, they never had a chance.

exactly .... We already need to draft bigger, not smaller.
We have horvat and Schenn and that's it. Time to add size. Build for the playoffs [/img]

They sure didn't.

Interestingly enough, the Jets are in deep when it comes to analytics yet also one of the toughest teams...

I believe he’s saying to only use analytics from playoff games to evaluate players/teams.

Yup. Regular season thrown out the window. A better judge of when it matters.

What we have yet to find out if or when we make the PO’s who has the game. All too often the regular season doesn’t give us much to go on other than those teams who play a PO type of hockey already.

Probably not. I’d be happy taking him @ #71 & he might even be gone by then.

Explains why we need to trade out a few players. More 2nds & 3rds acquired is a reasonable ask.

Drafting USHL USNDP & Euros is a good tactic to allow us to slide them & let them mature.

Each team uses some form of analytics and they use them for gathering different information.
A team like Winnipeg disposes of their analytical darling midget types(Petan), once they see how soft they are, Tampa keeps them thinking you can win with a team full of those types.
I am not saying all small players are bad, teams need to have a much better mix, than what Tampa has done.
Wasn't it jus 2 seasons ago, when the only talented forward with some aggression, Stamkos, sufered a season ending injury and the whole team collapsed.

Trying to draft a gritty 4th liner is as smart as trading picks and prospects for a gritty bottom pairing D...
