Canuck , and a 23 yr old Point is worth the risk

Trying to fill a hole by creating a new one is a vicious circle. Just be patient

Simmonds and Hayes are the only ones that come to mind. Simmonds is a similar proposition to Ferland and Hayes won't come to Van.
- NorthNuck

Simmonds is a borderline 2nd line player at this point, likely more of a 3rd liner that can play on the PP, especially with the game getting faster and faster. People are talking about the Jackets/Isles grit, but both teams can skate too.

Not really
If there’s any way of getting the rights to Fox you do it. Not really a fan of Risto and Troubas contract might hurt given the term he’ll command

Not by enough of a margin to justify that trade. Bo is our captain, the players themselves have said he's the reason they worked well together this year. He bridges the gap between the older guys and the younger guys.

I wouldn't forfeit a solid locker room for the next 10 years for an extra 15 points from our 2C

Stop winding these guys up with this stuff. They always retell it like you are a group of people saying this.

Depending on who's available at 10th, I'd honestly have to at least ponder that deal, I don't think it's laughable.

The captaincy part would make it difficult for sure.

Bo is easily are best defensive center. Point has had the luxury of playing on a stacked Tampa team. If you're comparing stats across the boards, points 41 goals to bos 27, it's easy to say one is better. Bo was a work horse this year, an insane amount of faceoffs and time on ice, and had pylons for wingers. Trading down to and losing Bo to sign point is again just trying to expedite this rebuild. Hes part of the core, probably the next captain.

Not making a case for Horvat or Point but....Bo is the Captain, regardless of the “A” on his chest.

I think you guys are underrating Point, he's pretty good defensively too, obviously plays easier minutes since he's on a better team but he was matched against top lines last playoffs and was still hovering at around PPG despite that. Dude is a legit, some TB fans consider him to be their best all around 5v5 forward, on a team with Kucherov/Stamkos
