It would not. I went to the soccer game last night and stopped in at Parq for a drink after. I quickly checked hockey buzz and read 5 consecutive posts about offer sheets. I proceeded to order an old fashion and a shot of tequila instead of a pint. This site forces me to drink

You know what would be great, if you could offer sheet any player, regardless of their current contract situation. Offer Tavares $12m, or P Kane $13m or Doughty $11m... that would be so fun...

i would throw out the idea of a hockeybuzz drinking game, and for when ever someone says "Canucks sign Panarin, trade Boeser for a top pairing D man, Canucks sign Karlsson, Canucks offer sheet Marner", we all take shots and the person who says it gets a temp ban.

I actually think this place would be completely vacant in less than 24 hours, either from bans or being too drunk.

I actually just pictured jim doing that and then trying to explain to the media that he didn’t know how offer sheets work. Kind of like tampergate with Subban. Now that would be fun

I love this idea but I fear there would be too many deaths. Could have a serious impact on the picnic turnout

Some heavy drinking in here last night.
I also learnt that disagreeing with the pom-pom theory of trading to speed up the 2 year old re-build is verboten. Even if you don't like the idea of trading young players you must propose an equally stupid trade suggestion. Just saying "bad idea" is trolling and offers no hockey incite.

Just ride it out. Having to over pay in $ and years to get a FA to sign here is a sign not sign any free agent signings.

We don't have any RHD in the pipeline past Woo though. I'd be fine riding it out if we had some prospects at that position.

This is karma for the people of Alberta voting an idiot into power. It’l like Forrest Gump always says.

lol won't get into a giant political debate as makita will do his thing but change was needed in Alberta.

You'll find that out first hand in BC after the NDP does to BC what it did here in three years.

Kenney may not be perfect but over Nothead and Horgoof any day of the week.

Is what it is.

That's what the draft is for. Poor management put them in this position, poor management won’t get them out of it.

For instance, the player who Calgary drafted with our 2nd round pick is looking pretty good right now, RHD, first year in the league. But, you're probably right, the 26 games of Baertschi helping the Canucks be almost a bubble team was good value...
