I'd be wary if Penguins were even willing to trade Malkin to the Rangers
to me that would think they believe he doesn't have much left |

Does any team (ie-NYR) entertain an offer for Malkin? I wonder if Pitt would put him on the block. I know he sucked this year, but just thinking maybe with all the Russians coming it’s something to kick the tires on.
I’ll don my helmet now lol
Edit: no way would I give them #2 pick, not what I’m driving at - Slimtj100

He might have a year or 2 left before the decline. Not willing to give up 10 years of Kakko/Kravtsov/Chytil etc for that |

I dunno man. It reminds of the LA team that beat jersey. Total domination for the last 11 periods |

Pit needs a shakeup imo - Slimtj100
The Penguins need a partial rebuild at the least, or maybe even go as far as the Rangers route.
Tampa's management needs to be one of the most creative salary cap wise of any team in the salary cap era to both retain key pieces, and make any necessary player moves to prevent an even worse gradual decline. In blowing that 1st period 3-0 lead in Game 1, culminating in being swept by Columbus in likely the biggest upset ever in NHL postseason history, the Lightning became the first President's Trophy winner to be swept in any playoff round since the Red Wings were swept in the 1995 Finals by the Devils, (1994/95 strike shortened regular season). |

The lightning are in a real bind. That NJ sweep was a perfect storm to. They would have been defending champs IMO if it wasn't for the Mess hat trick and Matteau. A far cry from losing to Columbus in the first round.
Often times in sports we are surprised for when teams who look to have a wide open window seem to "get old" overnight. Tampa really seems to fit this bill. Cap issues aside, now it looks like Hedman might be getting nicked up a bit more, McD is showing obvious signs of slowing down, and others are just looking flat out slow. You just wonder if this things is just getting demolished instantly. |

I just saw the Bruins passing up Barzal in the 2015 draft at #13-14-15 in first round referred to as the "Triple Bypass"
that's a good line

Edit: Debrusk is good. Not as good as Barzal. But he's not bad. Zbroil is meh and Senyshyn is rough. |

That would be some lineup with Bergeron-Krejci-Barzal down the middle |

Barzals numbers would probably be insane getting protected by those 2 |
