With Igor coming over, if we have to trade Georgie (not my first choice) let's call San Jose, pretty sure they are tired of Martin Jones not being able to stop anything in the playoffs.
we'll take your 2020 1st |

Yep. At least with the Pens, they have 3 cups to show for Malkin and Crosby before they decline. Tampa has zilch. The two guys they really could build around Point and Kucherov they are going to struggle to keep in the fold due to cap issues. I really wish we could offer something for Point, but I don't think our prospect group is quite deep enough yet to pull it off. - 2sticks1puck
I think the plan remains try and get Panarin for free, if they can't, and who knows, he may stay there after what they are doing this offseason, move on other things
the big time RFA's wont be signed yet on July 2nd |

Gotta hand it to torts...guys a great coach - rangerdanger94
Noticed Tort's didn't go through the line. Have a feeling he might have punched some of the ex-Rangers in the face for the way 2013 ended.

SJ prospect pool is looking really bad now, like Rangers 2016 bad. I'm not sure how they get out of it either. Almost all of their guys that would have a ton of value have some sort of NTC. They could try to trade Hertl, but at this point that may be the guy they have to build this around. |

didnt realize how good of a year he had. 35/39/74 in 77gp. basically a ppg this year |

Shestyorkin or Shesterkin? Because of the Cyrillic alphabet translation issue there's finally a player who truly will be named later. |

No doubt CBJ pushed all their chips in. I think they know Panarin is gone and have set themselves up to move in another direction with their deadline acquisitions.
It's like they did it backwards, Panarin is their rental and the guys the brought in they plan to build with.

I didn't either. I always thought he was just a 25g 50-60 point kind of guy and he really stepped it up this year. |

I don't see Karlsson re-signing there either. That team just doesn't have it, don't see a cup in their future. Gonna be interesting to see where he signs. Maybe Florida? Can they afford him & Panarin? |

They are clearing out about 10 million of space this year, plus whatever the cap goes up. They have a couple of RFAs, but I'm not sure any of them will break the bank. I'm not sure how they would get two big guns unless they really do take the infamous no state tax discount. |

Yeah, I listened to that moron live.
If I were management I would flip out. He needs to call his team out as well as himself. They straight up poop the bed, no other way to put it. |

In the end, Tampa and Pittsburgh played 4 more games this year than the Rangers and the Rangers end up with the 2nd overall pick and a generational player. I say the Rangers had the better year. |

Don't forget then we can try Names again at Center and have that all Ruskie line of Panarin-Names-Kravs.
Be kind of funny we draft Kakko #2 and he could potentially start his career on the 3rd line and actually be a justified decision. |

Easy now. Not saying he won't be but it appears as though none of the players in this draft carry that tag coming in. |
