BTW....being the tense nailbiter of a game as it was last night , I went through a total of four glasses of Laphroaig. Since I seemed to be empty after each period there was no way I was going to throw in the towel for overtime. Decent hangover this morning.....but worth it ! The crazy superstitious stuff I/we do !

Laphroaig now has a 2-0 record. Not stopping now although I might end up being an alcoholic if the Jets get to the final party.

My wife loves that poison! Loves it. Smokier the better she says. She makes cocktails now that require insusion of Scotch and has a sprayer for the cocktail glasses too!

Somewhere someone referred to penguins cups as evidence that there’s no such thing as a team buiilt for playoffs. That is not what they proved.

They proved that the nhl changed from bigger, slower players being able neutralize speed and skill to one that needs speed for good defensive play. They beat heavy western teams that beat the crap out of each other. Both are building for speed now.

In addition to speed and skill Washington won with size, commitment and a mean edge.
