I think it’s which ever one is lower but Botts put a clause if it’s 20 or 19 we keep the blues pick I believe - gerbe75pts
Conditions:
Blues pick is 11-19: Sabres keep it, give the Sharks pick
Blues pick is 20-31: Anaheim has the choice to take it. Realistically will take it if it's higher (closer to 1) than the Sharks pick |

Using him properly is not a luxury this team has ever afforded him. He was drafted to be a #2, and play like it in both ends. He is good in one end, the end you'd wish he wasn't. I used to love him. I am jilted. He's nothing more than extreme defensive liability. Now that Dahlin is here, Risto has been replaced in the offensive end. He's a redundancy, except for his physicality. I love a booming hit like the next guy, but I don't need the team to pay 5.4M to see it. - TheSabresTaco
The Montour trade sealed his fate imo. He's gone. Just get something good |

Pavelski is done, pass - SABRES 89
I mean, this isn't true. He's declining, yes. But I can name 15 teams that would sign him in a heartbeat. |

I will be sad to see him go, but he is gone.
Haters gonna hate, but the dude has 1 season of over 50% o zone starts (51%). He's an offensive defenseman.
My hope is that another team recongizes this, sees his potential, uses him properly, and we get a good forward in return.
What do we get, that's my question - jcragcrumple
isn't that an indication as to how poor the defensemen around him were?...not to mention a forward group that was severely lacking as well

Yeah, I'm firmly in the "victim of circumstance" camp. He was miscast and misused. But Montour makes him expendable to some degree, and being the only valuable piece that we're willing to move, I'd say it's a formality as to trading him. |

So great.
With Risto going on the 2nd PP (Montour can easily do this), he's a redundancy at the only thing he's good at. |

They have Bouchard and Benson who are ahead at the moment
I stil love me some kailer and if we do get him that means we could focus the first two picks on center |
