Thank god we have Scandella to take Ristos place when we trade him for a bag of peanuts and then talk about developing said peanuts next year. |

risto? - Michael Pachla
Yes but I’m putting Puljujarvi as the throw in will probably add a third for him it’s sad to say it would probably be a boom or bust with him |

Michael Pachla: Impressions of, and questions concerning--D, Rasmus Ristolainen - Michael Pachla
Age 24, solid cap hit, has some salt and vinegar, he stays. He might be a part of the problem but certainly NOT the problem. The team has much greater concerns than Risto. I don't see a step forward with him gone. Unless we get a quality 2C for his return. Since everyone says he sucks, how does that happen. Trade him for a second round pick and then sign or trade for T Johnson, Miller, Killorn, Kadri, K Hayes.. Not going to happen. Pavelski is a one year fix.
Myers is available, would you rather have him over Risto... I am sure his metrics are better... (and they have a better team). |

No way the Edmonton Sabres use an 8th pick and a couple kids to get Risto. They'd probably fill their trousers to draft Cam York or Bowen Byram. |

That won't happen
Word is that a number of teams have closely scouted Rasmus Ristolainen since the deadline. He had a rough year. But he’s a right-handed shot approaching age 25. If Botterill wants to consider moving him, there will be interest. There is a feeling that, outside of the fiery Jack Eichel, a lot of his young players are too relaxed or passive. It’s not the worst idea to see how that evolves.
“If we can bring some established NHLers to help out (our young players), we’ll certainly look at it,” Botterill said. |

The Montour trade sealed his fate imo. He's gone. Just get something good - jcragcrumple
our right D if he is gone is
montour
1 year of bogo and a bunch of unknowns
the only way I see the sabres moving risto is if dahlin is flipped to RD and I saw nothing to suggest that |

I'm on board here. I'm not trading Risto for picks, it's counter productive. I would, however, take a top 10 pick. |
