I don't know, obviously, but Marchand is protecting the drop back, and STILL, STILL, STILL . . .he turns and tries the drop back, when he has a path to enter the zone. WHY? I don't know what's got it driven into them that the drop back is the only clean entry. It should be an option when you don't have a path. Not the only way.
