I think it will be six games.
Whoever wins game 5, wins the series the next game. - LeafMan
The Leafs 100% should be going for it in game 5 as if it's game 7 so as to avoid playing an actual game 7. |

I like this idea. And if they win, do the same thing in game 6! |

Have to agree.
It offers the Leafs some flexiblity.
Tonight would have been a good time to have Matthews and Nylander on the same line.

No reason why the bench couldn't have been shortened after making it 5-4. Also no reason why 34/29 couldn't have been united for a few shifts toward the end of the game. Both are on Babs.
Honestly, can anyone name one positive thing, anything, that Babs actually did to coach this team tonight? |

While everybody is happy that the Lightning were eliminated in the 1st round, does anybody think the odds for either team are good against the Blue Jackets?
Odds are, the Blue Jackets will lose game 1 of their next series, as teams often do after sitting and waiting so long but after that, does anybody really want to play Columbus right now? |

Kypreos is 100% right about that icing shift.
I was saying it before, the 3rd and 4th line played too much with them being down by 2 goals (twice).
Babcock 100% should have put on Matthews / Tavares / Marner / Rielly and Gardiner in that situation and just keep the tired Bruins 3rd line stuck in their own zone. Going into the 3rd period, making it 4-3 would have changed it completely. - JohnFergusonJr
You mean the same Kypreos that wanted to trade Marner you mean that one

Yeah, and why was Ennis out there as the 6th skater?
I love me some Ennis playing limited energy minutes on the 4th, but 6 skaters should be:

With last change and an icing, down 4-2, he sent out Nylander with Brown and Marleau. That was the big mistake he made tonight.
Too many times, when they were down 2-0 and then later 4-2, he played his 3rd and 4th lines too much. He's been easy on his top-six all season, now is the time to overplay them a bit, especially when the match-ups are screaming to be taken advantage of. |

He played a pretty dominant game I thought; getting more comfortable at center, despite playing with plugs.

That has nothing to do with what he said tonight though.
You also have to realize half the time, these guys are saying poop just to get people like you riled up so they can have two talking heads "argue" and have people watch. |

Impossible to say, but CLB now vs CLB in a week could easily be two different teams. They could be rested/healthy or rusty, but either way their momentum has been slowed. The Leafs would also have home ice, so there's that as well. |

As much fun as the reverse jinx joke has been, be serious, the Bruins have sucked in the playoffs against anyone other than the Leafs for the past 5 years.
I'm not sure the Blue Jackets are any easier to beat than the Lightning after what they proved they can do.
They might be that "team of destiny" the NHL seems to have every year now. |

He played very well tonight. I mean it is possible he was carrying around our two weakest wingers right now.
He has no confidence around the net, which is frustrating to watch but he made a lot of good plays this evening and I can't fault his work ethic on 3 of the 4 games.
People go on about how we shut down Boston's first line, but Boston has also shut down Tavares and Marner.
In any case, the Leafs had a ton of chances, but Boston buried more of theirs, so not much more to say about it |

Depends on which Kadri: reckless, undisciplined penalty machine? Hard pass. At best, that just riles up the Bruins and turns it into a blood bath, a blood bath that only Kadri is willing to participate in against 18 skaters. |

Rusty for game 1 but after that...?
Home ice didn't do anything for the Lightning. Didn't matter one bit to Columbus. |
