Leafs cant seem to win 2 games in a row when it matters.
If they dont win game 5, its probably done.
Again. - Fakepartofme
I feel better about the Leafs after this game than I did going into it, to be honest.
I think they've been the better team for 3 of 4 now and can win this as long as it doesn't turn into a dog fight again in BOS. But with Kadri out, there's nobody willing to go down that road and get them all riled up. |

Well, it's no wonder: I think I read like 3 articles yesterday all talking about how JT's line has erased Bergeron's line; how they need to move Pasta to the 3rd line; blah blah blah.
If you don't think the players read their own press... - gravyface
Not to mention that Tavares and Marner have been shut down since game 1 also.
That is why seeing Matthews step it up last night was a real positive sign. They have a shot if he plays like that the next few games. I don't see them beating Boston if he goes dormant again. |

Yeah, it would be nice to see Snakes get on the scoresheet. Really need him. Matthews is doing it despite having two wingers that really don't compliment his game.
Leafs really seem to find it hard getting to the front of the net at times. |

Yep. Leafs blew a golden opportunity last night. I can't see them winning a game 7 at all, because i don't think they have the mental fortitude. So tomorrow's game is a must win for Toronto. Boston have to win game 5 OR 6 imo. |

Well, he really should, because he's getting sheltered minutes.
JT and Marner didn't have a great showing against Bergeron's line, but they've been more than solid in the series. |

He played 21.5 minutes. Can you shelter that many minutes? |

Any minute not up against one of the best lines in hockey is sheltered for him. |

Yeah, you're probably right.
We really need to see more of Snakes and Marner in the offensive zone 5v5. We're in tough to win this series, again, if they remain quiet |

They've almost done it twice now, with far lesser teams. Why not?
Like I said: I feel better now than I did going into the game. Those positioning mistakes on the PK are easily corrected; Brown's stupid penalty, fluky puck off of Zaitsev's hand that paralyzes him... we crushed them in shot attempts, possession, and 5v5 play in general.
In previous years, we were lucky enough to survive to Game 7. This year, we've been the better team in 3 of 4 and Game 2 was an abomination of terrible officiating that'll likely not be allowed to happen again. |

Same. I'd be worried if I was Boston. The Leafs going to take game 5 and wrap it up at home. |

He certainly has tanked his value quite a bit in the last two months.

"Theyve almost done it"

Leafs were the better team one game 1 game both were even, 1 game the leafs were dominated in, the last one, boston was slightly better.
Not even close to 3 lol

I dont think Boston was really better in game 4, unless you think the Leafs were better in game 3. Kinda of the same type of games. Pretty even. Id say the series is pretty even so far. |

Boston was slightly better, but not by much. Leafs looked lost at times in game 4
It has been fairly even with a slight edge to boston. |

That's what happens when you sign them when your team sucks and nothing is going right. Just like what happened to Tavares on his first deal. |
