The call on the ice was goal. The ref said he didn’t think Rask could have made the save no matter what. The “war room” didn’t disagree, and therefore upheld the call on the ice. In Calgary, the call on the ice was no goal, same story, they didn’t see enough to overturn it.

Had Grewe & Rees for #40. Rees has been my fav player on Team Canada by far through 2 games. He does so many things that don’t show up on a scoresheet.

Also, if not for a season affected by injury & suspension, I think Rees would be ranked higher. They’re similar players. Grinder grit with top 6 skill.

I'd be thrilled with either of them. I looked into Grewe after you mentioned him, the scouting reports from people who watch him play + the videos I found on him sold me.


I agree that Rees would've been more hyped if he played a full season, and Grewe definitely would've been getting more love if he was a CHL'er.

LOL, I’m not a Leaf hater, kinda indifferent towards them, don’t care either way but they are a Canadian team.

I am having trouble keeping interest in Team Canada. I do find Team USA and Team Sweden interesting. Haven't seen team Finland yet.
