They weren’t Selke finalists or 30 goal scorers here.
I’d also still call O’Reilly very over rated. Very good player, not a #1 center.
He also shouldn’t have been nominated over Barkov, Crosby and Couturier, but he’s on a team who’s hot.
Kane, O’Reilly and Lehner are all good players.
Did one of them have a season as impressive as Skinner? Why didn’t he get sucked down into mediocrity? - sbroads24
Kane is doing there what he did here he’s just in a much more stacked roster.
ROR has more points cause the guy is playing all situations and has Schenn and Tarasenko to play with and a much better team then he played on in Buffalo.
Lehner is making the whole NHL look stupid as he settled for a 1 year $1M deal and is playing fantastic now that he’s got his life cleaned up. Barry Trotz’ full defensive system helps though. I don’t think the Penguins got a single clean look that whole series. Even Griess had an amazing season and the guy couldn’t stop a beach ball ever. |

On the ice for the OT winner the other night too. Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler owned whoever they were playing against the past two games. |

Maybe Lindy is 6th all time in nhl coaching victories?
Sure he coached 19 years, but check out the list.
Borderline hall of fame coach, if he coaches for a couple more years
That's probably why, also he was the last good coach we had, and bleeds blue and gold
But you and beady...... |

1-0 Jets, 12 seconds in. - SABRES 89
RoR lost the draw and lost his man for the goal. Wonder which bothers him more. |

Skinner was acquired for nothing and we had to give up a recently drafted first rounder (Armia), Myers (Top 4 RHD), Stafford, Lemieux (31th overall pick) and another first rounder in Roslovic. GMTM got a raw deal though just bend the knee to the only right once in a blue moon and wrong all the time Hatboro Swords. - Pegullaville
Let's be honest, that's mostly a pile of steaming wreckage. Jets aren't gonna re-sign Myers, Stafford speaks for himself, lemieux meh, Roslovic scored a goal off his butt a couple games ago, Armia meh.
The worst thing about that trade is Bogo. That's the real crime. And bad timing.
Saddling us with gorges, Bogo, Moulson, Okposo is the bad stuff. Plus the will nilly dlo trade and the Nylander pick. |

That was 100% on Binnington. You can't kick the puck to the slot like that. |

At the time though those players had really good value. Myers and a 1st could of brought of possibly brought in a core piece for this club. |

Binnington is the reason why they are even in the playoffs. I’m sure the Blues cam owe him one. |

ROR is a Lady Byng and Selke finalist.
Honestly.
Regardless of what happens in the "future", this is a monumental failure on the Pegula's and on Botteril. The literal only thing we have from that trade that can redeem it is Tage Thompson. That 1st is a wash, let's be real. We already pretty much traded it for Montour.
So that trade Basically became ROR for Montour.
Would ANYONE in their right mind have made that trade? No. Good god, I get it, him and Jack hated each other or whatever, but seriously this is right up there with Briere/Drury both walking and matching that Vanek offer sheet - which, IMO, is the often over-looked 3rd part to that story. |

If the Avs, Golden Knights, Jets all win we are guaranteed the Blues pick. So it isn't set in stone yet. |

Myers was not good at the time of the trade.
He wasnt that sought after
He is still just a bottom pairing giraffe
Most of the first round/2nd picks in the 2015 draft picks 25-34 aren't playing in the nhl
Good players were picked right before |
