I wish people would actually watch the games before posting. It really makes them look stupid when they run their mouths off on traditional Leafs-bashing topics even though the game play has shown that to be completely untrue.

When I first heard that term I assumed it meant some sort of weird internet terrorist/hacker thing lol. I just looked it up a few days ago when I came across it again and was like, oh, well that's sad.

Dude, reading the Wikipedia on incel is disturbaballs. All that stuff, red pill and all that, is (frank)ed through the skull.

So I saw people in the last thread making proposals for McDavid. Trading Matthews, and maybe Willy or others for McDavid and some combination of poop.

My question for those eager beavers is this... What makes you so sure McDavid is a better playoff performer than Matthews? He's only been in one playoffs in his career.

9 pts in 13 games. So sure, he at least made it to the second round the one time he made the playoffs, but it's not like he was lighting it up like he does in the regular season. His game is speed and skill, which is what so many people complaining these days say our team has too much of, "We need tough, gritty players with heart"! Is McDavid your idea of tough or gritty? He's a speed and skill player! And as we've seen, that often gets negated somewhat in the playoffs.

11 pts in 17 games for Matthews - and remember it's so low because of a poor showing last year, compared to this year and his first, both of which he was at a ppg pace or slightly less. And most of his points are goals. 4 in six games in one year and 3 in 4 games this year.

So 0.647 points per game compared to McDavid's 0.692 isn't really that much different.

So why do you people think this would help our team be better in the playoffs? Plus you want to add guys like Nylander...

In other Leafs news....really surprised there has not been more talk about Gardiner. The guy looks like he can barely skate out there (speed used to be a strength), and has taken 1 Slapshot all series by my count (blocked). While not costing us yet, I can't help but wonder if Rosen would be a better option at this point.

Yeah, who knew that when guys want sex and aren't getting it, it makes them a little crazy?!

At least quality porn is available to all with an internet connection. Should help a bit. We just need the Japanese to perfect their android sex dolls that they're working on. Then everything will be rosy.

Clearly. Only if your sperm was so backed up it was messing with your brain chemistry would someone think that was a wise decision.

It’s expected man, he was out for over a
month with a back issue. It’s not easy to come back from right away.

He’s been effective given the situation. He’s been quiet which isn’t a bad thing with him.

I know this might sound a little dumb but I really think that McDavids contract is more appealing in the long run. He's also a local boy too so it would really be good for moral. Another question too is whether Matthews sticks around after his deal. It's kinda an afterthought since a cup in the midst of that would put so many fans minds at ease they wouldn't really care if they went through another dark decade like we just did.

With Matthews turning it up over the last couple of games I think that talk really dies down. Matthews looked pumped after scoring the other night.

The guy I think gets moved is Kadri. Even if it's to recoup a first in the draft this year, or perhaps a defender, there's reason to believe he moves instead of Nylander as Nylander's cap demands he get a full season's points in to get his value up. Plus he's younger and has a bit of a higher ceiling.

Shutup turkey. The Leafs have looked a lot better this time around. If they can take game 5 I see them closing out in TOR. If they don't I'll give Boston the edge to win in game 7.

Well, as far as the contract goes, McDavid's is higher and only goes one year more after Matthews' contract ends. It started sooner, which made it a better deal I guess, but that doesn't help us. It only goes one more year longer than Matthews, and costs even more, which is what matters to us.

I guess the local boy thing is nice, but I doubt that helps us win a cup much lol.

Maybe. I've always been a strong Kadri supporter, but I gotta admit it really sucks having him get himself suspended two playoffs in a row. Yes, that game was really out of hand and I can kinda see why he was angry, but as soon as he did that crosscheck to the face, I think most of us knew exactly what the outcome would be. Was it worth it?
Who knows, maybe his actions is what finally made the league pay attention and why the next couple games have been called better... I dunno.

I'd like to keep Kadri if possible, but if he ends up getting moved, I'll just have to hope it works out.

This series could go 7 games.

I see WSH winning in 6 or 7 but still a fun series.
