I'm with you, I just don't think he makes it that far. If he doesn't go top 10, in theory isn't he a perfect fit for AV at 11? It's just why I think the Rangers getting him is out of the question. It would cost a ton to move up to even the 10th pick, and that is if he isn't done rising.

Typically I'd agree but I don't ever believe there's any sort of consensus among GM's when it comes to little dudes or Russians. I don't think AV matters, the draft is Fletcher's show to run. I'm sure AV will have some input but the final call isn't his to make.

I could see Caufield going in the top-10 or I could see him going around like 20. Neither would surprise me.

Goal scoring record at U18s is 14 set by Ovechkin. Kucherov and Kovalchuk tied for 2nd with 11. Cole has 7 so far.

That's 7 in two games for Caufield. Ovechkin potted 14 in 8 games.

If the Devils take Kakko at 1, you do whatever you can to pair Hughes and Caufield, right?

That'd be a hell of a move. Not too far off Burkie getting the 2nd/3rd picks to take both Sedins.

What would it take?

Lias, one of the D prospects, Winnipeg 1st?

Impossible to tell before the draft order is complete. Too early right now, the first round of the playoffs isn't even complete. Also, Andersson's value is low.
