He's definitely fine on your 3rd line. |

I agree with your viewpoint on Sheary. Great blog as always !
In other news, I think it’s time to put Boldy and Caulfield as serious contenders for us at 7. Both have been remarkable at the U18’s. If Turcotte/Cozens isn’t there I think we should go Boldy. Perfect two way winger with size that we need.
I’d prefer to go Centre but if Turcotte/Cozens/Dach aren’t there then Boldy would be my pick. |

Spent a 4th round pick.
Hard to really really criticize him. I like his speed |

Caulfield Is the answer - gerbe75pts
Him and Jack could be something special. I just have a tough time not addressing the Centre position. If we draft one of the wingers Botts is going to need to have a plan to get the short term and long term answer at the 2C/3C once Mittelstadt is developed. |

Sheary is an almost ideal plug at 3LW, if we lose Skinner he can fit in at 2LW. |

I don’t want Sheary anywhere near the top 6. I don’t see a playoff team still in the hunt where he’d be in the top 6 either. If he’s on the third line that’s fine with me. |

Looking at how Debrincat is fitting in with CHI, I don't see how they look past him if their Center isn't there at 7. |

Any center you draft isn't stepping in next year anyway.
He needs to address the 2C for next year regardless of who they pick. |

I get that. However I’ve never heard a team complain of having too many Centres. I’ve seen a team complain about not having enough though. |

Sheary/Erod/Okposo as out 4th line. All 3 of them can slot up in their position if needed. They may not wow anyone, but they can do it.
We need a true #2/Defensive C
We need 2 wingers for said Defensive C
We need 2 wingers for Mitts
We need to sign Skinner
Probably need some change in D
....we're not going to satisfy all that through Rochester.
Housley sucked, but so did the team. Tick tock, Botterill. |

He will find someone, if the Panthers really want Panarin, I'd take Hoffman in a heartbeat. Just an example. |

Sheary is perfect for the 3rd line with Mitts as his centerman. Imperative that Botts gets us a 2C this off-season. Mitts can grow into it over the next couple of years. I would target one of Thorton or Pavelski for that interim role on a 2-year contract. |

Oops...accidentally flagged you...i know Pavelski is a little long in the tooth but he could be a possible stop gap in that role |

Thornton is 40 or will be 41 and will won't leave San Jose, we don't need a 40 yr old stop gap. Come on now. |

Do the Joe's want to leave SJ? I had heard that they may want to keep them on board on shorter term deals and that both players love it there.
I'd take either one in a heartbeat. |
