I thought the ref had the intent to blow the whistle and that’s why it was waved off.
In any event the reffing was once again a dumpster fire, imho. - nyisles7
No way that was a goal. It was in Mrazek's pads and Ovie had to reach into them with his stick to get the puck.
But yeah, the reffing was abysmal as it's been all series. |

Either way NG. But the reffing needs to tighten up its been shat not only in this series but all of them.
Upstate and his fake refs could probably do better, nah forget that |

It’s the money they can make off the ice there as well. - nyisles7
If it's about Money.. and it usually is for these guys. They are going to Florida. My gut feeling is both Panerin and Bob are heading south. I can't imagine any of these guys wanting to go to the Rangers at this point. |

Not disagreeing but when is the last time you've seen a Ranger in a commercial outside of an MSG promo? Maybe a hairspray commercial for Hank? - Vukota

Preds out. There is definitely a changing of the guard in the NHL. - nyisles7
This is awesome.. truly. Need the Caps to lose and the Leafs to lose just to watch the NHL "experts" lose their minds. |

I didn't get to see the game, but saw the replay. Agreed with the no goal call, but could definitely see how I'd be pissed if call was against my team, especially under this games circumstances. Was there an Ovie goal called off earlier in the game and was that a fair no goal call? Thought I read that, but didn't see any replays... |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSP_BoPUC-o Bellows scored twice in their first playoff game. They got shut out in their second vs. Hershey. .. nice to see Bellows score though.. He is for sure a sniper but has had a very tough time this year. |

Even if the leafs win that would mean the isles bjs leafs and possibly Carolina in round 2. Carolina is the most recent cup winner in 06 then isles 83 leafs mid 1400's and bjs never I think people tend to forget thanks to the Canadian media that Toronto hasn't advanced in 15 years.
I think these playoffs are great I'm not sure the league wants an isles canes round two but the two fanbases are unhinged and the caps got theirs last year. Dallas owned the preds last night and Colorado looks dangerous, the blues went from last place to round 2 as well. Really Boston Washington and the sharks/knights are the only teams that have been to round two recently and I love seeing new teams there |

And Wahlstrom set up Bellows' 2OT winner
And Travis St. Denis almost literally broke Aaron Ness' neck |

Nah. Williams had one called off because of a high stick. |

Would be nice to see Bellows develop. Bellows seems like a shoot first player the Isles could use. |

I still think he's good trade bait. Didn't have a great first pro season but a strong playoff performance could turn that around. |

Helps to have someone like Wahlstrom that can get you the puck. Will be very interesting to see what happens to players like MDC and Bellows. |

Heck of a Career he has had... 1200 games over 800 points, 300 goals and is huge in the playoffs. |

He's a sniper for sure.. seemed frustrated trying to do all the coaches asked of him this year. They are trying to turn him into a better 2 way player. I do think he will be a solid NHL player eventually. The kid can flat out score if put in the right situations. |

I'll be honest, though I was rooting for Carolina last night, I didn't think there was much of a push into the net on the called-off goal...at least not to the extent of the one we saw called back on the Isles during the season (think it was Clutterbuck). But, that said, Ovi acted like a complete jackass for the rest of the game, and has been pretty scummy this whole series, really. State your case, yell a little bit about it, and move on. |

I think it's been a big adjustment for Islander and Bridge players. No longer can players just focus on offense and it takes time. |
