It was so minimal and the ref didn't think it was enough to overturn. It was really a 50 50 call

The guys in non China said they thought it was interference and should have been overturned.

Not saying they are right or wrong but the fact that there is so much controversy about it sucks. They need to get this right or it’s a black eye on the NHL for me.

Can you imagine if that goal happened to Toronto? That board would have exploded. To me the fact Hyman pushed off the defender and backed into Rask, it's interference. Just that little nudge is enough for Rask to lose focus which results in him not having the opportunity to get over. Not that he would have, but it creates doubt which should be a no goal IMO. Especially 0-0 late in a game. Whatever, it's over, but that kinda sucks.

Half the leafs board thinks it was interference. I'm still on fence, he wasnt stopping it and was outside crease but the back skate hit his pad a bit too. Idk it's over the league rules it a goal

I believe Rask had a skate outside the crease, and I would guess that will be the NHL's explanation for their decision.
