On here who cares on Twitter people poopting on a little kid is bullpoop - Upstate_isles
Oh gotcha. Leaf fans are crapping on the little kid? No way they’re the very definition of class! They created a day for John Tavares because he got his feelings hurt by mean fans.
The guy was assaulted with rubber snakes and an Islander jersey. |

Well this is one idiot. Whatever I guess - Upstate_isles
That thread would be absolutely hysterical right now if that good goal call was on them. Biggest bunch of hypocrites 😂😂😂 |

Flagged this on accident, a lot of them thought it was interference but the Bruins goal was offsides so both goals shouldn't have counted. We probably complain about the refs too though not to that level. Refs have been terrible in the playoffs but I think the leafs drew the least amount of calls all year so it makes sense it would continue |

That would be just about every Leaf fan on that whiny, (frank)ing thread. Ten pages of whining about the officiating every, single game they play. Honestly cringe worthy reading it. I get it the officiating sucks we’ll point it out when it’s real bad BUT their entire thread is pretty much dedicated to whining about the refs. Forget about the playoffs it has been the entire season. Imagine if that goal was scored on them and not over turned because of goalie interference? That thread would be a whiny, unmitigated disaster right now. - Cptmjl
Exactly. I hope the bruins show up next game, they looked like poop last night IMO. They're just not playing their normal style of game. |

That Bruins "offsides" wouldn't have happened if that goalie interference was overturned. It likely would have been 0-0 still at that point and they wouldn't have had the extra attacker on the ice. |

Yeah sure we b!tch and moan about it but they literally dedicate their entire thread to it. It’s hysterical. Whatever it’s good for a laugh and embarrassing to read.

FWIW, this guy has the Isles with the 2nd best odds of winning the Cup after the Blue Jackets.
Important game tonight .... Caps vs. Canes - JohnScammo
Can't wait until round 2 starts, but hope this series goes 7 and gets real nasty.
More Trotz:
Trotz did not seem concerned the Islanders could be rusty when they finally play again. He's optimistic the layoff provides extra time to heal.
"We're looking at it as an advantage," Trotz said. "We're getting people fully healthy, we're going to practice the right way, we're going to do some scrimmage, all those things. We'll be prepared, don't worry."

Honestly the bruins to me haven’t looked good the entire series. They have completely gotten away from their game minus game 2. |

My main concern is what our defense is going to look like. Our 2nd and 3rd pair have been fantastic and if Hickey plays with Leddy he’ll be on his offside. I would hate to break either pair up. That’s without even factoring in having Hickey back in the line up which to me is never a good thing. Anyone we play next will camp out in front of the net just like the caps did last time we played them. |

I'm sure Trots/Lou will make the best with what we have. I love Boychuk, but he only played 16:16 avg ice time vs. the Pens, so I think they're leaning more on Pulock (and others) to be the shut down guy(s). If we can match Hickey with the less physical players in next series, maybe we can get by until Johnny comes back. I'm not that concerned, all teams are getting banged up in the PO's. At lease we're getting extra time to heal! |

Absolutely on all counts but I think boychuck brings a lot more than most realize. He’s pretty steady which hickey simply is not. Other teams will focus on whatever pair he ends up on and like I said breaking up either of the other pairs sucks. They were that good. |

Pulock - Pelech have become our top pairing. They did an excellent job against the Pens. If Leddy - Hickey are the bottom pairing, we may survive the next series.
The bold is another reason to hope the Canes beat the Caps. Canes have lots of talent, but they're a bit less physical than the Caps. |

Not at all. Marchand, for example, has been playing like an angel. He's usually such a thorn in other teams sides, he's just not doing the poop he needs to do to frustrate and piss off the leafs. And he's not scoring. I hope he/they brings it tomorrow. |

In fairness, Babcock has the Leafs playing much better defensive playoff hockey than what they showed the majority of the regular season. (Isles got a taste of it in that last home game--yes, I know that the Isles had less to play for.) Leafs forwards are forechecking and playing a close checking game. |

I hear you, also from that article:
"Johnny brings a lot of those intangibles in the locker room," Islanders coach Barry Trotz said. "Obviously, he's a high-compete, high-character guy. He'll be missed, but he's around the team all the time. He always brings his leadership."
Although he wont be playing, which I totally agree we'll certainly need to make adjustments, he'll be there providing the locker room leadership. |

100%. Caps will absolutely try to exploit that pairing. Is what it is we’ll have to adjust like all teams do just sucks none the less. |

This makes no sense. Playing physical should come naturally to the Bruins. What are they only going to play tough against the Islanders? |

Would love to know that the coaching staff is telling them. Leafs have a ton of talent. You better play them tough. |
