In the last 5 minutes all goals are automatically reviewed by hockey ops for offside. If they see something close they’ll call down and delay the game while they take a closer look.
- Feeling Glucky?

I find this hard to believe, because they clearly did not review the offsides on that goal.

Clearly.

Nothing controversial about that goal, the right call was made

For the offside challenge on the goal, can I assume it was the refs who decided to review it, not Babs?

Because there was no penalty.

It was initiated by the Situation room.

If that's not going to be reversed for goalie interference, they should just eliminate the coaches challenge entirely.

Same. Not so much drunk, but definitely yelling at the screen!

Carlo Coliacovos tweet. Pretty obvious offside.

As much as Matthews goal was goalie interference, Boston goal was clearly offside #LeafsForever https://t.co/yPDvmoC1RG

- Archaic

The stupid part is the broadcast didn't seem to be focused on the guy that was actually offside. They kept showing the guy closest to the puck carrier (who was also very close to offside)

I fully admit that I am irrationally obsessed with this, but in the last minute, how the hell was it not called intentional offsides?

Clearly the refs "not wanting to decide the game" but it was the most obvious intentional offsides I have ever seen.

- Atomic Wedgie

That was so obvious. Just chalk it up to more bs

Here's the baseline - in the crease, contact with the head, and yet still a goal was given. Anybody complaining in here about the goal being given yesterday can make like a donkey's Richard and hit the road...

The biggest difference on that Poehling goal is that he was being pushed in that direction... regardless, both goals we're good goals

At least there is an argument in that video the player was pushed. Clearly not the case here.

And if you want to make the argument that whatever the worst goalie interference a team has gotten away with in the past has set a standard that all subsequent rulings should follow, teams might as well just run with 6 skaters. Pointing out previous bad calls isn't a justification for them continuing to make bad calls. This goal shouldn't have counted, and every single fan in Toronto would be screaming that if it had gone the other way.

He barely touched him and he was out of the blue ice. He would have never gotten to that anyhow. The fact that it's even discussion that , that could be interference is funny compared to other calls throughout the year

Yep Carlo Coliacovos tweet showed the image pretty clearly that it was offside. why they don't have camera over the blue line looking down I'll never understand

Actually it is, it is called consistency.

This is the most maddening thing about this, there is no consistency at all, goals that should be called back are not, goals that are generally considered fine are disallowed. It really is anyone's guess how a call will go, this one went our way but we have had many, many others that have not.

I don't really care if they get them all right or all wrong, just as long as they are consistent with the calls so the fans at least have an idea what to expect.

Reality is the Broons shouldn't have put themselves in this position. They weren't hitting and they were were being beaten to pucks.

The refs cause trouble all the time. Part of the game.

It was a bad call, but it was the one and only bad call that has gone Toronto's way, so tough noogies.

The Hyman tripping call was a joke.

Just before Hyman bumped Rask, he was clealy cross-checked by Chara - no call.

Bruins' goal was clearly offside.

Clearly intentional offsides in the last minute.

And people want Leafs fans to apologize for this?

Yeah, you can suck your apology right outta my...

They need to take out the human factor. Have A I or a computer make the call based on past precedent and the rules.

Will Columbus lose momentum with the layoff? Or be prepared?
