Ok I want Boldy at 7 case closed. Unless Turcotte miraculously falls into our lap. He is exactly what we need on the wing and he is just toying with everyone at the U18’s. - Pegullaville

Anyone else thinking Podkolzin might be there at 7?
Is anyone high on Dach? He’s the one guy projected top 10 that just seems to be there with nobody hoping to take him |

I could not find the Sabres game on TV last week, can you send me a link? - homiedclown
89 dropped a bomb a few pages back with some pretty good info. If you have heard anything else that he didn’t list there and would like to share that would be fantastic. |

William Karlsson getting 6-7 mil >>>>> paying Duchene 9 mil - sbroads24
If Karlsson is a 25-35 player, is that worth $7M long term?
I say that as I have no idea what 50-60 point players are worth anymore. |

Dach had a really good playoffs. I know Detroit was scouting him heavily and he might be an option for them at 6. There is honestly 4 guys we could take at 7 that I wouldn’t be disappointed with. It’s a matter of who we feel fits our team best. If we take Boldy I could see Reinhart being moved in a year or two to bring in another Centre if we can’t figure it out before then. |

I touched basis with my "source" while in NY
info I got, sabres have a bad rep regarding constant turnover of coaches and gms and owners being too hands on
that is why the others signed with kings, panthers and flyers right away, although Q was never coming here
sabres offer more money, but coaches would rather go somewhere else and not deal with the terry and kim constant demands
it's not old news, but reinforced to me friday afternoon |

I would have taken him at 3
he IMO has the highest risk, but by far the most upside |

I just don't think we'll be active in free agency. To me, I see more activity for Botts at the draft. I wouldn't mind a few lower tier free agents later in the summer to shape the bottom 6. Donskoi, Carpenter, Agostino would be ok adds. I think we'll se CJ, VO, Pilut and possibly Asplund here next year. Asplund could have a spot if Larsson is gone. I think Davidsson could be in Rochester as well. - mhp
Duchene aside, I agree, but my point was the team being 'a mess' is overblown regarding signing big name players. Show them the money and they will come. If Botterill offered Skinner $72M on an 8 year deal ($9M per), he would have been signed months ago. |

I think 50-60 points is 6.5-7mil now.
The high profile UFA’s like Duchene and Skinner are at 8-9 mil.
I still don’t see Skinner topping 8-8.5 mil.
I think Hayes value took a giant tumble with his WPG performance.
Wonder if he gets 6 now.

It’s crazy how a team like Winnipeg’s cup window could be in total jeopardy after just finally reaching cup contender status the last 2 seasons. Goes to show how important drafting is to have the next wave of players coming in on cheap deals to supplement their better players. They might have been better off moving Wheeler for younger talent. - Pegullaville
Crazy how it shows that tanking and losing on purpose is eating up years of eichels contract.
Surprised at this post. You are almost arguing with every post from December on? |

Ok, please have mercy and please don't shoot the messenger.
Botterill is absolutely in no hurry to find a head coach. McLellen was there but they didn't even meet with him after his son's team lost, they never talked. That's why to offer was made.
They won't pay Skinner 9.5 a year and Botterill is in no hurry to sign him. Seems that Skinner is set ( as of now) to test the market.
There will be turnover with the roster, I asked about Risto and was told 60-40 he's moved. Reinhart may not be safe either but he may be a later deal.
Botterill wants the kids to learn and bloom in the AHL and won't rush them, Taylor will stay there to make sure of that.
As far as AV goes, Botterill wanted to see coach team Canada then was going to go from there with an interview, never got the chance as we all know.
Botterill was ready to talk with Boudreau if the Wild cut him loose.
Girgensons is done here and it looks like Larrson is close to it also.
He would consider moving Sheary and McCabe they want to keep.
They want an experienced head coach but will look into Gronberg.
Housley knew a week before he was gone, he listed his condo by the water front and sold just last week.
They want 6K in the AHL and won't rush him, no chance.
He will get a 2nd line center but won't move the 7th pick to do so, he wants to build through the draft, he's big on that.
This team is way to soft and that's gonna change, he wants them hard to play against but also have speed.
And last, this is really big deal with some and i'm gonna catch hell for this but here it goes:
Eichel and ROR had NO ISSUES with each other, ROR wanted out, he didn't want to be here anymore, he didn't want to lose anymore and had enough. He only tried to help Eichel but at times with all the losing, everyone gets pissed off and attitudes change.
Also E; Kane did not want to leave, sorry.
Well that's it for now folks, please keep the insults to a minimum, i'm just trying to pass also some info, some you may have heard about and some you may have not. i'm no insider by any means just want this team to win and succeed like all of us do. - SABRES 89
Heartbreaking
Also, I don't believe the E. Kane bit. Guys who want to stick around don't live in hotels |

Who do we want longterm, Skinner or Reinhart?? If it’s skinner Reinhart should be traded this offseason. If it’s Sam I don’t think Skinner will be back.
Will be hard to pay both with Dahlin a #2 Center and hopefully mitts getting big money (by being good) along with jacks contract and filing out a deep roster.
Damn okposo. We need him gone. |

Idk who that is, but 2 things on Kane:
Like I said, never bought a place here. Lived in hotels
Secondly, Murray mentioned more than once that he had to encourage Kane to hang around after practice and games, and had to encourage him to get dinner with his teammates.
I'm not calling 89 a liar, but Kane's actions say that he was ambivalent at best about being here - jcragcrumple

Signing Kane to a 7 year $49M deal does not seem like a Botterill move. |

I could see that. But for the most part, Kane never acted like he wanted to be here.
Not in his play, obviously. He never took a night off |
