No, what it means is that Evander Kane, the guy who takes penalty after penalty, and ruins O zone starts, actually hurt the Sabres playing 19 minutes a night.

I’m done on the Skinner talk. You are beyond reason trying to hammer down a point that Skinner shouldn’t get 500k-1mil more than he will.

We should go trade additional assets for guys to avoid overpaying someone who potted 40.

Skinner definitely should have had more assists playing with Evan Rodrigues and his all-star caliber finishing ability

With Kane's style of play, I wouldn't count on anything beyond year 4.

I liked Kane quite a bit, but he was an odd duck and was primed to make too much money through his declining years

I agree with all of this bolded part. Watching him beat up Petrovic 3 times in one game is a top-10 moment of the past 8 years.

But it wasn't the right situation to re-sign him, for a lot of reasons
