Draft Cozens at 7
Trade up to get Boldy.
Why choose? - IonSabres
They are both going to go in the top 10 most likely so it makes sense why there would be a choice. |

Ok, please have mercy and please don't shoot the messenger.
Botterill is absolutely in no hurry to find a head coach. McLellen was there but they didn't even meet with him after his son's team lost, they never talked. That's why to offer was made.
They won't pay Skinner 9.5 a year and Botterill is in no hurry to sign him. Seems that Skinner is set ( as of now) to test the market.
There will be turnover with the roster, I asked about Risto and was told 60-40 he's moved. Reinhart may not be safe either but he may be a later deal.
Botterill wants the kids to learn and bloom in the AHL and won't rush them, Taylor will stay there to make sure of that.
As far as AV goes, Botterill wanted to see coach team Canada then was going to go from there with an interview, never got the chance as we all know.
Botterill was ready to talk with Boudreau if the Wild cut him loose.
Girgensons is done here and it looks like Larrson is close to it also.
He would consider moving Sheary and McCabe they want to keep.
They want an experienced head coach but will look into Gronberg.
Housley knew a week before he was gone, he listed his condo by the water front and sold just last week.
They want 6K in the AHL and won't rush him, no chance.
He will get a 2nd line center but won't move the 7th pick to do so, he wants to build through the draft, he's big on that.
This team is way to soft and that's gonna change, he wants them hard to play against but also have speed.
And last, this is really big deal with some and i'm gonna catch hell for this but here it goes:
Eichel and ROR had NO ISSUES with each other, ROR wanted out, he didn't want to be here anymore, he didn't want to lose anymore and had enough. He only tried to help Eichel but at times with all the losing, everyone gets pissed off and attitudes change.
Also E; Kane did not want to leave, sorry.
Well that's it for now folks, please keep the insults to a minimum, i'm just trying to pass also some info, some you may have heard about and some you may have not. i'm no insider by any means just want this team to win and succeed like all of us do. - SABRES 89

Then trade up to get into 8th, 9th, 10th
Then there is no choice, they get both.
They want to build through the draft...good, make this the year they get two damn studs.
Mortgage other assets including STL/SJ 1st, Nylander, ERod, 2019 3rd. Do what it takes.

Even if he isn’t. The next guy will have the most cap space in the NHL and Eichel and Dahlin to build around. As much gloom and doom as there is around these threads there is light at the end of the tunnel. It’s just a matter of how quick we get to the end of it. - Pegullaville
We’ve been saying that for a while though
Remember when we were all excited to have our 1-2 punch at Center be Grigorenko & (future Captain) Girgensons?
It’s been pretty rough for the Sabres since the Briere/Drury debacle
Only real highlights have been Eichel & Dahlin
And they have yet to produce team results
Ppl are frustrated & sick of the losing
It’s more than understandable |

Maybe so.
The Russian and the Dman are key to getting us close...if there at 6 say, trade Nylander and 7 to get Cozens.
Trade SJS/StL 1st, Nelson, 20193rd for Boldy.
Too bad the GM position isn't open. Kim would be having so much fun watching me wheel and deal |

Perhaps not LONG gone, but if either of them slip, I'd be on it. I'm still hoping teams above the Sabres take Pod and Byram. |

Sorry, my sentence was misleading g.
Should have said
The Russian and Dman are key to pushing Cozens down...hopefully they are selected in the 3,4,5 slot
If Cozens is there at 6...then trade to DeTro IT to grab Cozens |

Turcotte is from the Chicago area. He makes complete sense to be taken at that spot to be as a 200 ft C that can learn from Toews. He would take over for him and it’s like he would have never left. |
