I am glad Rexy is back too. He was wrong on Tyler Myers. I don’t think Myers was on the ice for any goals scored by St. Louis in the last two games.
- TheUltimateJet

He’s 29 years old, has an injury history longer than my time in the workforce, and (unfortunately) lacks the hockey IQ necessary to adjust his game as his skill fades.

Regardless of what level of player you and I think Tyler Myers is, a guy his size with his skill set and his past injuries is the picture perfect example of someone about to hit the age cliff

Well I will say this, you banged the ice time drum all year and when Maurice used it as an excuse in his post game I thought of you pal.
- Ross77

I find it rather reassuring. Maurice using the excuse of “this thing I did for most of the season bit me in the ass” means he’s either fired, or might actually learn something

I was wondering how long it would take Rexy to post his pre-typed message of told you so.

2.0 was totally right a few blogs ago when he forecasted Rexy's re-emergence of negativity.

- CharlieDog

Wasn’t actually pre-typed. They actually got me to bite on the idea of some magical switch being flipped. Theeeen the wheels fell off, and I died inside

But Myers went back to back seasons with no injuries. This year he played 80 games and last year was 82, wasn't it?

By using this analogy Rexy, you could apply this same logic to Perreault. He was always injury prone and this is the first year he hit 82 games, isn't it?

I guess I'll be seeing you guys on the golf course soon enough.... The complaints about your team mirror our complaints about the Preds.....

FYI I prefer Corona with Lime....

- PREDX1

Not really. The Jets are a really good team while the Preds made a number of terrible trades around the deadline that made their team slower and less skilled and even then there's a lot of hype. Like Subban--overated.

Byfuglien has been with this franchise for 9 years. In that time this franchise has made the playoffs three times. In 5 playoff series, this franchise has won 2. I think it’s time to move on from the “Big Dog”.

That dude willed the Jets back into the game. He led them back into a game they were overwhelmed. In a seven game series like this there'll be times when all the bounces go wrong and the team lets up. When the leaders start sounding the alarms and dive in and start pulling the rope the others follow--Buff did that. You can excuse him getting called bc in the first four he did the same things and no whistle. There was no consistency with the officiating which makes it hard to play.

The Blues struggled mightily against Buff and Lowery. They finally started to change that. I'm guessing Ehlers was playing hurt. He might not have scored but his play allowed the Jets to possess the puck in the offensive zone and created chances. Which led to the next line grinding on the Blues and a number of goals.

If you all want to trade him there's a lot of players I'd move for him in a second.

-Good news, Appleton, Vesalainen, Niku and Poolman will All be full time next year at combined less than 4 million

- have to let 57,7 and 13 all walk!!! They will get over paid!!!!!! Anyone wanting Tanev just research his numbers away from copp and Lowry. I’ll add for the Myers fans, if he will sign 2-3 year deal for 4 or less, keep him. He is not worth more and will be an anchor to the team that pays more. He can’t play bigger minutes than bottom pair.

-buy out Kulikov

- fire Maurice but at the very least hire new assistants who Maurice respects enough to listen to and allow for changes Maurice has this far refused.

- if Trouba won’t sign, trade him but make the deal good. Have to!!! I repeat have to get an nhl ready Center or D on entry level deal that has top two line potential. Or one for one for a Trocheck, Larkin types. If little or Kulikov can be included in this deal, BONUS!!!

With Maurice as coach that is a 4th liner, 4th liner, 6th and 7th defensemen

If the Jets fix that terrible penalty kill, and fix their middle 6 so that they actually score goals they should be in good shape.

Actually, yes. You could apply that concern to Perreault.

The differences are that Perreault is A: outperforming his cap hit while Myers is presently overpaid, B: Perreault is a higher level player, with a couple seasons worth of room to decline before his deal gets squirrelly, and C: Perreault’s deal is easier to trade at any point than Myers’ next deal will be.
It’s also worth noting that Perreault has never seen a decline in numbers as a result of injury, while Myers has never again seen the bar he set a decade ago

You’re not wrong, unfortunately. Familiar always wins over with Mo.
